Dead Island Ru

Hey Guys greetings.

I just won a Dead Island RU Key from a giveaway but I don't think I'm gonna use for myself, I still didn't decide.

Now I got some questions, if someone can help me, since steam support is taking too long.

How does the activation work?
What are these exploited keys everyone talks about?

Can I gift it on Steamgifts or it is ilegal to do so since it probably only works with VPN? (I'm not even sure if it can be activated without IP change)

If it's ilegal to giveaway a russian key can you explain me why?

regifting will get you banned. RU key is only for people in RU/CIS region

Try activating it, it works mark as recieved. It denoting a region doesn't automatically mean it's locked. Either way regifting is a non-no

The giveaway was not from Steamgifts, and there is no rules about regifting if its outside of steamgifts right?
I didn't get the game from steamgifts.

If it's not from Steamgifts, it depends on the rules of where you got it from, then. If it is actually region-locked, though, you can't make a giveaway here with it

If it's region locked you can't gift it here as a public giveaway.But I think you can make a private giveaway just for RU users(or the other regions available).Ask support about it ;)
