Hi everyone,

Myself and 2 friends are in the midst of our bachelor studies, and we need test participants to try out our very short game.
We would love it if some of you would help us out with this, and in exchange for your helpfulness you'll gain entry to a Mortal Kombat X giveaway.

Here's what you do:

  1. Go to www.itzi.dk
  2. Pick your preferred method of play
  3. Play through the game to it's end, and you'll be giving a link to the giveaway page on the end screen

The data will collect itself, nothing required from you apart from finishing the game, though if any issues should we would love to hear from you and have provided a small form on the very same page mentioned in step 1, where you can post your comment to us.

Feel free to try the game as many times as you'd like also.

It should be noted that this is a key for Mortal Kombat X, and while it is listed as not region locked in general it CANNOT be redeemed in GERMANY.

This should not be construed as advertising, as the site itself is a temporary hosting place for this game, and will be pulled on May 24th, after which the site will be empty and the game will never be made public in any way or form.

We hope many of you will help us out, and wish you good luck in the giveaway.
Thank you.

Okay guys, time has come to tell you about what this test was all about.

We are testing to see whether or not procedural content generation could encourage players in a 2d sidescrolling shooter to utilize the full selection of weaponry available in a game, instead of sticking to favorites or relying on familiarity.

Preliminary observational tests, on a static version of the game, did show us that a majority of our test participants stuck to one or maximum two weapons throughout the game sessions, and so we launched this larger scale test with our PG algorithm to see if that would help to encourage you to utilize all 4 weapons.

Half of you played a static version of the game (where all enemies had a fixed position and fixed type spawn), and half of you played a version where enemy placements and type frequency was procedurally generated to either suit or counter your playstyle (this is calculated and generated between each room).

We received a lot of data from you guys, and we are thankful - i can't tell you a result yet, as we need quite some time to analyze the data before we can say anything.
