Wich Open World FPS is better?

Cuz The Pre Sequel is same gameplay as Borderlands 2, even graphics are same, game is shorter, and for same or more money than Borderlands 2 cost back then it gives you much less content, so game won't last that much, it even feels sometimes like a big DLC for Borderlands 2. I still got 110h there, but in Borderlands 2 I got 255 + lots of DLCs left to do. The thing I like in Pre Sequel more than in all other games of this series, is space atmosphere and Athena, she is the best character of all series imo :P but most of her head skins suck, covering her face with metal masks is very ugly imo, and this is what these skins I don't like do :(

Lol I was thinking the same thing as you. :P
Anyway i agree. Borderlands 2 is much more fun and more bang for your buck. The story and humour is much better.

It depends on what you seek, and how many of it =) Stalker series are very immersive, they are really good at portraying post-apocalyptic setting, and gritty everyday life of people in that world. Call of Pripyat is the best of them. It's very good, with one shortcoming - it's kind of small, compared to other games you wrote.
Fallout series are my favorite, they are endless, gritty, hardcore (if you choose them to be) and full of humor. New Vegas is better than F3, IMO.
As for Borderlands - I still have to taste the world. I bought BL2, and haven't gotten to playing it yet, though I've heard a lot of great things about it.

That is a stunningly small list if you're looking for 'the best'

I wouldn't go so far as say that the Borderlands games are open world since you do have to zone at times and some areas are off limits.
Fallout is DEFFINATLY an open world game.

TBH I rate all of this the same lmao.. If you want cartoony and fun - Borderlands.. If you want more of a serious shooter but still fun - Fallout and if you want the ultimate scary/hard experience go for Stalker.. But in the end you can't go wrong with any of this games.

Fallout is a great FPS/RPG with open world and a lot of content.
Borderlands is the same in theory, but practically it's just a shooter with quests. Still awesome, but it's not really an open world. We can say it's more like Diablo, but with guns.

If you like gritty violence and hardcore action (and pretentious title), then S.T.A.L.K.E.R.
If you want a looter with shooting mechanics, then Borderlands. BL1 for a balance between "story" and loot, BL2 for pure looting, TPS for more story orientation.
If you want a dungeon crawler with lots of wandering and killing, and zero story, then Fallout 3. (AKA TES IV: Oblivion with guns.)
And New Vegas is not a shooter but a cRPG with first-person point of view. Playing that game as a shooter usually gives you severe punishment, not rewards. It's more about story and finding different solutions to quests, whereas the rest are purely shoot-to-win games.

Fallout NV + F3 with Tales of the Two Wastelandes mod is essentially one game, and it's really nice - endless modability, huge map, nice characters - but not "really" a shooter.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is much more of a shooter, also it's more serious, also as far as I know it's less RPG, more Shooter - but it's awesome in it's genre.
Borderlands 2 is a fantastic FPS, but it's hell no open-world :)
So, depending on what you're looking for:
FPS (emphasis on shooting + gunplay) : S.T.A.L.K.E.R > Borderlands 2 > Fallout
Open world/RPG elements: Fallout > S.T.A.L.K.E.R > Borderlands

Among the ones you listed, I just have to go with Fallout New Vegas. Although, it's weird that you didn't list the Far Cry series in the poll. Those are pretty awesome open world FPS, IMO.

Was wondering why FC wasn't in here as well.
From the listed games, Bordelands is the least immersive (haven't played the 2nd installment, but I hardly knew what was going on story wise in the first).
STALKER is probably less open world as fallout 3 (again, with fallout, only experience with 3, not NV). Especially STALKER CS has some serious non open world parts. In short, STALKER is more of a FPS with RPG elements, while Fallout is vice versa I think. Have to say, both are very high on my list of games I liked (New Vegas is still on my defenitly to do list, not the backlog list that all games are on, but got stuck on deciding which character traits my character should have hehe).
If you want to get a taste of the STALKER experience, I can advice STALKER Lost Alpha, it is a standalone mod that does not require the base game (Shadow of Chernobyl). I actually started playing that recently and with that SoC actually didn't age that badly. It adds or slightly alters a lot of maps as well, but as the name suggests, it is very true to early builds of the game and aims to be what pre release renders etc made the game look like. Some of which got removed in the final build of the game. So in some way, you could say, the game is more true to it's original, than, well the original. :D At least, it tries to be.
Borderlands is defenitely not a game I can take too seriously, and it also heavily relies on coop mechanics and is designed with that in mind.
So my vote would go for either STALKER SoC or Fallout 3.

First of all, Fallout 3 and New Vegas are NOT FPS games, they're action-rpgs with a first person view and emphasis on the RPG part. Among the ones you put in the list, it's not even a contest: S.T.A.L.K.E.R - Shadow of Chernobyl takes the cake by a mile and Borderland 2 is the second best..
But there's a game you didn't mention that would be the true silver medal and that's Far Cry 3, the game where you can ride zip-lines from the top of radio towers, hang-gliders from the top of mountains, swim in shark infested waters and punch sharks that try to eat you, hunt down tigers, cassowaries, leopards and Komodo dragons...WITH A BOW, for which you can also fashion explosive tip arrows and blow up helicopters with like motherfucking Rambo. Did I mention you can back-stab pirates with a machete, ride ATVS and buggies n rugged terrain, that you craft bags and holsters out of the animals you skin, gain new abilities from tattoos(FUCKING TATTOOS) and enhance your combat capabilities by injecting yourself with drugs that you yourself fashion from gathering herbs? ? Well...YOU CAN!!!!!!.
If you want this to be a legit vote, take out the two Fallout games and put it in alongside the other sand-box games that actually are true first person shooters: Far Cry 2 and 4, Rage, and Borderlands.

Fallout 3 & New Vegas sort of can be, if you completely ignore the VATS. Well, then it's about as much FPS as the original Deus Ex, or System Shock 2, but with more open world.
