PayPal only forces you to link a credit card, but the actual total price will be deducted from your PayPal account rather than your credit card.
The link is in case something goes wrong with your balance, it'll charge your credit card (you can reverse it later if necessary)

I just enter my bank debit card as a visa credit card. Paypal does this so that there is a backup funding source should the transaction fail.

Same here, I am from Turkey and Turkish users can only use their money on paypal acc by buying things with lira(Turkish currency). I don't know why its like that tho, It sucks :x

You can either link credit card or bank account... My CC isn't accepted for online transactions and after I linked my account I was able to purchase anything I wanted ^^

I tried doing it, and Paypal always forced me to use a linked credit card.
Is there some hidden trick for that?
