Dude, if you're trying to get all escapist, I'd recommend staying away from multiplayers -

Get skryim, or New vegas, fallout 4, witcher 3 - some big ass open world RPG that will suck hundreds of hours that you can lose yourself in.

I'd especially recommend Fallout 4 if you're not huge on RPG's, it's RPG Lite at this point, and you can build settlements.

Battlefield 4 which is on sale now btw.

And if you're into complex strategy games, Europa Universalis IV or Crusader Kings 2.

Salt and Sanctuary if you have a PS4 or Dark Souls. You'll die so many times and get frustrated so much that your heart break will feel like yesterday's news.

If you can get into the type of game, Minecraft and Space Engineers are two games I've put hundreds of hours in. Gotta enjoy the creative elements though, or play with people online. I've got nearly 200 hours in Civ V and Borderlands 2 as well,

If you truly wish to give up your life, Eve Online can be really great if it's your whole life, can even pay for the game in game, so you don't have to have a real job, you just work your fake job in Eve lol
