I and others reported the giveaway, and I know I'll be reporting fake hosts, but fortunately they're rare.

Not a scam, just a moron who thought he was being clever (saw TF2 in the list to create a giveaway, "but TF2 is free! derp!").

All they need to do is have some text pop up on the Create a Giveaway page when you select games that are special cases like this. If you select TF2, it should clarify that only a premium TF2 key is acceptable or whatever. Same type of thing could take care of all the improper Humble Bundle game giveaways, before they are created. Well, assuming people can read. Would cut down on the bad giveaways and mod's work a little at least.

I understand you want your soapbox, but please note that this website was never private. This kind of thing has happened long before the invite system was removed and it happened while registration was completely closed.

I'm just playing with you, but seriously this is very minor considering what we had to put up with when the site was actually invite only. In fact, dare I say we're actually seeing fewer fake giveaways recently?

I don't get how people don't understand there always will be bad people in communities. It does not matter if you are a nun church even they have less devout ones. This 1 scammer won't mean squat, let him get banned. Check the statistics on the bottom of the page. Around 9% are marked as "Not Given" gifts. Those 9% are ruining the community and it will be very hard to root them out.
