As I'm reading that, it's not solvable as a two digit integer. At least not algebraically...hrm..

That's expected when the math isn't mathing. Wolfram alpha uses the same math :D

I am not sure if x is supossed to be a parameter or variable, is it supposed to be multiplied by x? or is x camouflaged last number of previous one? That equation is wrong written or is wrong at all.

The x^12 was multiplying the 244140625.
Because
&& = 5x
(5x)^12 = 244140625x^12

i'll try make a better one this week, i'm feeling motivated to do a better one with more time to solve,
and a better prize..
one that deserve time to spent on a puzzle.

Can you share the solution afterwards?

Yes i can
&& = 5x , so it should be 5xfzv the code to the GA
(5x)^12 = 244140625x^12

maybe it was confusing because i put too many "???????" but i put just randomly the number of "?"
but i will try my best to make a better and not so confusing new GA with a math question.

Oh man, that was so simple yet confusing.
For me it was confusing because of:

  1. Using two "&" instead of two different symbols. It implied that both symbols were the same character, or number in this case.
  2. The 7 "?" did throw me off.
  3. 244140625x^12 was bit (244140625(x^12)) not ((244140625x)^12) because it was not clear that "x" was used as a algebraic variable or it was one of the missing number we had to find. Basically, eg. that x = "x" or x = "5"

I think the puzzle itself was easy, it was just not clear, at least to me, what the puzzle was asking for.

Thanks for the explanation though. Looking forward to the next one, and will be sure to keep a more open mind.

Yes,it was my first puzzle, so mistakes are common, the next one will be less confusing

I think the part that the math notation is kind of "convoluted" is the only puzzle here. If you state that "x" is not a variable and is instead a letter and/or say that you need to match the left formula to the right formula, this is brain dead simple. The puzzle is getting to the point where you transition your brain from no longer looking at it as a pure math problem and instead as just an ordinary puzzle.

The && = ??????? is somewhat fair as being a little unnecessarily complicated but I don't think it stopped people from figuring out the puzzle. The two && in the url told me that it's definitely two characters and the 7 ?s tells me that the two & are not going to be the same character and that the math notation here is just a little "off". That is actually kind of how I transitioned from thinking of this as a pure math question and into something more abstract. I think the whole math notation not being wholly correct was the only reason that I solved the puzzle. Of course though, if figuring that information is not part of the puzzle, then it should be clear. Just my two cents.

No, I mean it's ok, it was just confusing for me. Probably because I was overthinking, and was looking for some complex puzzle.

And I was excited there was some complicated and convoluted math proofs to solve this (like the proof in this video of b^n-1 is divisible by b-1 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MhJN9sByRS0) that there was only going to be one value of X where it holds true for Y if Y is a whole number. Ah well, I'll get back to you later!

The question is technically wrong. And I saw the solution you gave.
You should not insert two veritable in such questions, with no information about how to solve the question.
The question should be like:-

(&&)^12=(244140625x)^12 find the value of && in terms of x.

Answer:- &&= 5x
