Why do you tell them when you remove them?

I as well hate removing people, it's usually just giveaway winners though. I need to remove more. Barely have any room left...

It breaks my heart when the people that won my giveaways and the people whom I won gifts from delete me :(

I have a very small contacts list, I actually have a couple of folks whom I don't interact but it was because I gifted something and I was added (I have removed myself from a few others' lists) or that have been kind to me.

It would be nice to have a game I like that someone else also does, to play co-op or just some form of multiplayer, maybe someday... my best chance may be when/if Assetto Corsa is ever finished. I'm far too picky :(.

My steam friends list is usually neat and clean, for me, what i do is if i haven't heard from someone within one month, i just kick them off my friends list... Unless it's someone i know IRL, if so, then they can stay on that list for however long they want or atleast until they're sick of me.

Why even message them? Just delete them, and if you never message them, they probably won't even notice that you deleted them.
Eventually, someone might notice that you deleted them, but I doubt they'll care much and they'll just move on (or add you again, if they actually really care).

Someone should put this dialogue on some nice picture with sunset or something.

I don't see the point of remove anyone. The people I talk to regularly I just have at a group at the top of my friends list.

I only really bother removing someone if they irritate me. I have people on my friends list that haven't even logged into Steam in like 3 years.

Maybe he added you, because you are such a cool guy and wanted to be part of your coolness. Maybe he was too shy to talk to you more than twice. Maybe he was scared you would not reply. Maybe he was falling asleep every night with only wish in his mind - that he would find "hello, sadguy!" from you once he get up next morning. You will never know.
