Yes, you do. When the game is received, you get points equal to its worth in dollars, and everyone else on the site gets a fraction of that.

You're confusing CV and "P" points. You get CV equal to the game's "worth" for the game you gave away (subject to some conditions laid out in the FAQ). This doesn't affect your points though.
Points are accumulated by everybody based a small percentage of each giveaway made on the site.

You have to wait, you get more points when other users make giveaways, please read the FAQ.
