picked up a couple cheaper VN's already.
highly tempted to pick up steins gate series or key super bundle .. must resist for a better price!
for documentation what I picked up now is Wolf Tails and Tricolour lovestory(59 cents!)

alot of the sales are new historic lows or matching old historic lows for the titles, not all though.
but the two I mentioned are definitely good deals, also very well known and well rated series.
I don't own any of the key anime adaptation blu-rays(most tempted by Clannad), but Steins Gate I own everything released of to.
previous historic low for the key super bundle was $113 so its a brand new price for it, steins gate is matching previous sales.

Thanks. I'm little bit skeptical about Tricolour (translation issue from the review), but Wolf Tails is great.(in fact, I like almost all of the developer works)
I've watched Steins Gate and Clannad anime so I never bought that VN series. But other works from Key look interesting with current pricings.

I prbly would have passed on Tricolour for a bit, but at the price if I only get a couple hours out of it I will be happy.

I don't play many, because I'm a lazy reader unless the characters talk. I do like the idea of getting rewards for every Steam event. 👍🏻

I've actually found that when I don't understand a language it's much easier to be fine with whatever voice acting there is, when I can understand what they say a minimum of competence is needed from the actors to not throw me off if the reading is kinda bad. Before I understood English even the most atrocious of line readings sounded passable to me but nowadays that I know what things are supposed to sound like I get a lot more annoyed whenever I go back to play a 90's game with dodgy voice acting.

I'm okay when I just hear the characters. I've played and am playing Yakuza 0, and it's fully Japanese. I'm more likely to read it when I hear the characters talk/animate.

I get easily distracted by too much text and lose my enthusiasm for a game even if it's well-known to have a good story. Most recent game that I recall playing that was a Visual Novel was NORCO. I just couldn't enjoy it. People gave it masterpiece reviews while here I was, giving it a good. Masterpiece review score for me is a 9's and 10's, while Good is like a 7.

For some reason, that game is Very Positive on Steam. A lot of people said they loved it and thought it was a masterpiece. I am still confused to this day if my taste in storytelling is trash or I was right to not like it as much.

I would recommend playing games you already have first - Danganronpa, Zero Escape and SciADV games. :))
And if you really need to buy something, then 428: Shibuya Scramble for sure.

Been looking at my wishlist for games to buy, and instead removed over 60 games from my wishlist, lol.
Welp, that was one way of getting my wishlist under 200 games, hehe.

I'm considering amongst this pile, but likely won't pick them all up:
Crimson Gray: Dusk and Dawn, Tangle Tower, Wolf Tails/Love Ribbon, Love³, Tropical Liquor, Fox Hime, Paranoia:Deliver Me, and Marco & The Galaxy Dragon.
Most of the bigger VNs are often better buying from other sources.

made me look at stuff published by SakuraGame to, a lot of cheaper titles and I might just pick them up when things are sub dollar and look at least good and well rated
Vampires Melody and Fluffy store are overwhelmingly positive in ratings with tons of reviews, 79 cents and 39 cents respectively, even if they are just story and minimal gameplay can't go wrong there, a good story is worth it.
looks like paranoia suffers from really bad translation, seems to be a common thing from things published by SakuraGame, guess it will depend if there are fan translations out there that I can patch in.

From those I only heard about Tangle Tower and can fully recommend it, just like the previous game from the studio that has same main character - Detective Grimoire.

added crimson gray to WL, never heard of it but it sure looks interesting. The bundle is 20% cheaper, if I want to buy I will pick that for better value.
Marco & The Galaxy Dragon has great story-telling, but it's also unique and weird, might not for everyone.
