Should I remain in a giveaway, given my present condition (details below)?

I had entered a region restricted giveaway, for my region.
BUT I am not living in the country of my region (e.g., I have a Russian account, and am living in Brazil, for example).

If I do win the giveaway, I will not be able to activate the game on my account; because I would need a valid IP address from my region to activate it
(need a Russian IP address to activate the game on my Russian account. A Brazilian IP address won't work).

This is true for restricted gifts and keys -- you need to be living in your region to activate them.

So what do I do now? Do I leave the giveaway?

  • I do not have a Russian account, nor do I live in Brazil......that is for clarification of my problem only*

I say, leave the giveaway and ask support to change your region.

I cannot change my region, because it is connected to my regular Steam account.

As far as I know Steamgifts support can change the region on Steamgifts.

You may be right (I correct myself earlier)

But, I legally don't belong to any other region. So I will stick with my current region, but without entering GAs.

If you live in Brazil, then your regular account should be South America region as well. You can even change it yourself there.

Id leave the ga personally. No point in winning if you cant activate the game.

Stay if you are in another country for a short period of time, leave otherwise
