There are very few puzzles unfortunately, i think in the 20 hours that i played so far i only encountered 1.

i literally just finished 100%'ing it only a few days ago. i love the tomb raider reboot series, played, beat and/or completed all three. i guess it's worth mentioning that i used a controller for both. while i'd be hard-pressed to think of a game exactly like tomb raider, horizon zero dawn does tick a lot of the boxes. it feels very similar due to the main use of a bow, 3rd person camera and sneak / sneak kills. while tomb raider has only human enemies with increasingly difficult weapons / styles, hzd has that but also machine enemies. the machines vary from wolf-sized all the way to giant t-rex-looking motherfuckers. basically there's a range of machine enemies that mimic real-world animals from present time, back to the dino age, mostly modern ones though. while hzd doesn't have any boss battles per se, the really big machines do scratch that itch, and they are absolutely so much fun to fight.. almost souls-like in a way how long some of these can take unless you know what you're doing and/or have really powerful gear. the map is similarly huge, with fast travel spots scattered everywhere - unlocked via campfires when you get close enough to one. unlike how tomb raider has individual areas with loading areas in between them, hzd is a completely open map. of course there are also collectibles - three types in the main game, and three types in the extra dlc part of the map.. though the ones in the dlc area have much fewer in total. for obvious reasons i don't wanna get into it much, but the story really shines in hzd. to sum up basically the intro area.. you were given to a tribe outcast to be raised because the elders are suspicious of your birth. shit happens and at the door to a locked off ancient bunker area, you find the image of someone who looks exactly like you, but with a different name, and that sets you on a journey to figure out who you (are your parents) actually are. that's really just the tip of the iceberg. wish i could gush about it here, but unfolding everything for yourself is always much more fun. to finally answer your question, no, there aren't really many puzzles. there are a few little ones in some ancient underground areas, but you aren't gonna be seeing any puzzle tags for this game. i love me some puzzlin', but i can't remember once thinking i wish hzd had more. it already has a lot of other high-quality things. i knew going in that "hzd is a really good game", and i really wasn't let down at any point.
tl:dr - i liked hzd

Info: Probably its only my problem, have tried to play this game on several computers allready. On all of them was the movement buggy at some point of time (different levels). The game couldn't be continued to play. Te story is nice, but after a while of play get a gamebreaking bug.

unfortunately, Golden Abyss used stuff like the back touchpanel so it might not be compatible with that.
but that would be interesting idea for the other stuff I did have on my account for Vita as long as it didn't get those "special features".

You can try to play them via PS Now (https://www.playstation.com/en-us/ps-now/ps-now-games/)

I've been playing Control recently and I'd say it has a pretty similar feel to Tomb Raider (2013) which I'd been playing last month.

I don't know what makes you say that, I feel like that game has zero connection to anything TR related. Control has magic-like combat and superpowers, has vague storytelling, takes place entirely in a building, has no puzzles, no archeology, no platforming, almost no exploration, and it also has a much darker tone and has a lot of themes related to lovecraftian beings, "the new weird" and human psychology.

I'd argue that Control does in fact have some platforming despite what you say and there's in fact some puzzle solving, as many times you need to figure out specific things to do in order to progress. There's some fair exploration in order to find secrets and collectibles, just like in Tomb Raider, and movement/combat is also quite similar between both games. Settings are quite clearly very different, but having played both, I do get pretty similar vibes from them.

You have the first 2 Darksiders games in your library (looks like you only farmed them for cards?). Gameplay is somewhat similar to Tomb Raider, with puzzles etc. ;) You should give them a chance since you already own them. =)

I don't see the similarities between a hack-and-slash game and a third person shooter.
Maybe because I didn't play darksiders enough, but I didn't like the first few hours I did (I actually don't like hack and slash, and thought the game would be different). And I felt Darksiders is not as open world as (the new) Tomb Raider is.

His criteria for action adventure with puzzles etc works for DS. I would consider DS to be somewhat a cross between Zelda and Tomb Raider, but with much more intuitive puzzles than Zelda. I played the first game myself, but not the second one.
Oh and don't let my Steam hours fool you, I used to be a console gamer and never played a PC game til a few years ago, so some games I own due to bundles, but haven't played on Steam, but have played elsewhere. =)

https://store.steampowered.com/app/414340/Hellblade_Senuas_Sacrifice/ <- Hellblade perhaps ? Third person. Controller support. And I think it had some puzzles now and then as well. I just remember the story, but I think asides fighting there where stuff to figure out to get further in the game.

Trust me on this one... If you liked the gameplay and level desing of the new Tomb Raider trilogy be sure to check out Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Even if you don't care about Star Wars at all, you'll enjoy it. Those games follow very same game design principles, except one focuses on gunplay and the other swordplay, but both are high-quality action adventures.
Both games share:
edit: and yes, the game is fully playable with gamepad controller... it's actually recommended by the devs (and me)

No. Dark Souls is difficult in an annoying way. Fallen Order is difficult in a satisfying way, meaning the game starts really hard but gets easier as you get better as a player and upgrade your character. People get this idea because the death system is the same as in Dark Souls, as in you die and need to go back to your place of death to recover your stuff. But that's really about it. I can't even begin to describe how different this very system is implemented in each game. It's all in the nuances. Besides, as oginer said, it has a difficulty setting that can be adjusted at any time without any loss (there aren't even achievements for completing the game in a certain difficulty).

It shares approach to level building (interconnected paths, opening shortcuts), but the fighting itself is very simple in JFO, nowhere near the depth and complexity of Dark Souls (I wish!… but no such luck). They tried to copy some of Sekiro's mechanics, but looks like ran out of time to do it well (which can be said a lot about this game — it is very unpolished, but still great). And I agree with OP, in a way it is very similar to TR. Didn't even think about it till now.

it has a souls-like feel, but i found fallen order to be much less 'frustratingly difficult' if you know what i mean.

Funny, I just finished "Remember Me" yesterday, and enjoyed it a lot. Possibly helpful comments:
-- Yes, it worked just fine with my PS4 controller under Big Picture (if you do not mind that the prompts are A-B-X-Y);
-- Indeed, some things are very "Tomb Raider-y" -- strong female protagonist, a good dose of climbing around to find your way, some light puzzles.
--- But, two big differences: game is quite linear (not a bad thing, but Tomb Raider seemed a lot more open to me), and combat is almost all "brawling" instead of shooting -- think the Batman Arkham games. Combat does NOT require frantic button pressing, but you will be pressing a lot of buttons (especially A-X-Y), hopefully this is ok with your wrist.

Long ago I've played Remember me on PC and I'm 99% sure that it worked fine with my "old but still rocking" xbox 360 gamepad. Good game by the way, only drawback is that is very lineal

Play ELEX at the moment, feels in some way similay to the tomb raider (last 3 games)

elex is not that great, risen 1 and gothic 3 (even risen 3) are better
risen 3 would be somewhere close to tomb raider, lots of adventuring

For the combat I would say maybe Quantum Break. Great graphics, similar combat, but with cool time manipulation powers. But it has barely any puzzle sections.
Maybe you could try the Batman Arkham series. It's not a shooter, but it has cool brawler gameplay, also a bunch of stealth, some light detective sections, boss fights, an open world and a great story line.

You could try Submerged, it's pretty similar to the TR Legend trilogy in terms of controls, exploration, and puzzles. It has no combat tho, and the world is set like the new TR games as one big map.
Also, in case you haven't played them, you should give a try to the Lara Croft spin-offs. They change genre but maintain the spirit and feel of the main series.

Assassin's Creed: Odyssey - I'm playing it at the moment and some parts (exploring tombs with some slight puzzles, climbing up walls etc) give Tomb Raider vibes.
Also the pirate quests give you treasure maps to find the items on the huge world map ha

Besides the Batman: Arkham games, I'd suggest DmC: Devil May Cry. A lot of people hated it because they didn't like seeing the main character that way (much different than the other DmC games, I'm told), but it's a solid game, and the combat is just gorgeous! Some of the content is just nauseating, but it didn't push me over the edge.

If you want something like Tomb Raider, you can't go wrong with Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb. I finished it last month for the second time. I think it holds up pretty good for a game from 2003. The hand-to-hand combat is the highlight. It's punchy, meaty, enemies react expressively (they twist and turn at every hit). It's awesome. It pre-dates the second Tomb Raider reboot (Legend, Anniversary and Underworld) and Uncharted. I think both games took notes from the Emperor's Tomb. The shooting is meh, but you can shoot your way through the whole game. You don't get enough ammo. Hand-to-hand combat is more fun than the shooting.
I'm not sure if you can play it with a controller. The game looks like a console port, a good one, but it didn't detect my Xbox 1 controller. You have to see in the Steam or GOG forums for that.
You also need to tinker to make it run in 1080p and 60 FPS Limit it to 60, don't unlock it. You can't beat the first level if the game is above 60. PCGamingWiki can help you with that. It's not something difficult.

Hi,
I'm looking for games on Steam like Tomb Raider (similar gameplay, 3rd person, adventure/action, puzzle/riddle etc)
Male/female character doesn't matter.
Would be better if fully playable with a controller because of wrist injury.
Any idea?
