A social confidence act is not something most people can be held accountable to, but with the documentation, yeah, he may actually face some kind of consequences this time.

Already did, as well as reported his account on his Steam profile page. :)

"the posts aren't moving at the rate of 30posts/minute, lol."
That's why the reporting threads are stickied.
No calling people out on this forum. Delete.

...what exactly do you mean by "calling people out"?
And yea, that was a bit exaggerated, but they really do move real fast. :)

You mean letting people know about a scammer running around with 4 accounts in his pocket?

That's why you post on Steamtrades. If you would like, search for all the other scammer threads that have been deleted and then look at the rules of this site.

Actually I couldn't find anything regarding this matter in this thread: http://www.steamgifts.com/forum/91wob/faqrules-and-guidelines/page/31337

Then you're not reading: "Please do not call out users in the forum or chat. Submit a ticket in the Support Forum."

I see, looked around what exactly does "call out users" mean. Though yesterday I spoke with Yatterman, asked him if I should post it as well, after reporting that to him. He gave me his blessing... Well, if it will be deleted, it will, but some people will still see it before it does, it will help to avoid the guy. :)

When ever anyone says, "you go first," repeat this with me now, say, "fuck yourself asshole."

I've traded with that guy. But this is his other account, also on trade probation.
Now I'm concerned about having my game revoked.

I can't believe people can be such broke asses and have to scam video games from people. You must live in some sort of hole to have to resort to that.

I don't have money to buy games, but I don't scam. As a friend of mine likes to say - "I know guys who spend $200 in a club during a weekend and then complain that they don't have money".

My gift won't be returned to me, it says so in the Steam policy page. And I already did that, and I'm gonna be persistent, I want this guy and his accounts out of the trading world...

Sorry fella. However sending first is a dumb thing to do. Ive done it too, but you shall always think about it.
Dont trade with alt profiles (this one was obv such)
CS:GO is 30-60$ if someone offers you 80... well you know.( also have in mind that he is buying them atm, not on discount)
Or you can simply ask for a middleman, if the person you trade with is scammer he will go offline whenever you suggest him to use middleman.

Yea, found out about middlemen and the 'real' price, alternate profiles and all that after contacting his friends list yesterday. Basically I didn't know anything besides that there's a possibility to trade games in Steam before yesterday. :) As I mentioned, I guess I should've looked into trading before actually attempting to trade.
Thanks for the advice though.

Well I pretty much know everything there is to know about trading now. Spoke to tens of traders yesterday and today, so in case Valve gifts me something in the future, I'll know that 80 +reps aren't enough to trust someone.

February 2012 account, 4 games, 1 non-free game only, 2 beta test Steam games... Very imprudent.

Said he's trading games on Ebay, so excluded that. As far, as I know, many people do that, especially with CS:GO copies.

This is 100% your fault for getting scammed. Anyone with even a little sense would realize it's not a good idea to use non-Steam trades with someone who has an account as new and empty as his and you were a complete fool.
Honestly, this is like people falling for those email scams but lesser in magnitude. Regardless, the scamming fuck should be blacklisted.
Comment has been collapsed.
It was a gift, not a non-Steam trade man. But I do agree that I was a complete fool and that it was my fault. I mentioned that in the first post.

Oh, I see. Thought non-Steam trades were keys/money/etc..
