And it is not looking good.

  • Steam (duh)
  • Origin
  • UPlay
  • Game for Windows Live
  • GMG Capsule
  • Gamefly Downloader (whatever that thing is)
  • GOG Galaxy
  • might have missed out some others...

At least it can't get any worse, at least that's what I hope.

I think I kind of get why people switch to consoles. No crappy programs that you will use only once and forget about. And it has a fully functional mode that can be controlled via controllers, unlike Big Picture mode that constantly freezes up(for me at least).

People don't switch to consoles. They switch to PC.

I have a console, but i also play games on my gaming rig.Funny thing is when I was at the store the other day.I was looking at the games. Most of the dlc for the console version of middle earth comes included when you buy it,as well as evil within. But on pc you have to buy separately.

I only want to have my games in steam (i mean in one only program) i´m not want to open 2353463734734 ..... programs like uplay or origin .-.
Well, it´s time to ignore ea games and origin ones.

I actually recommend origin. They have alright sales and their "on the house" is awesome from time to time. It's also a very lite client as compared to Uplay or steam. Now uplay on the other hand is a hot pile of garbage that I'm ashamed to have games on. It's lIke they tried to be steam but decided to boldly go for a stylistic choice of a self inflicted std.

"Origin
UPlay
Game for Windows Live"

... Why .... oh god why ....

I got into the "digital era" later then most. I preferred having physical copies to digital ones. However more and more I got steam games and realized its so much easier and its the future. So I invested in steam (and it's been a cheap investment). Since then I'm 95% steam. The other 5% are the few times I get a physical copy cheaper but even then half the time they have a steam key for the digital version in the box.

I'm ok saying "F off" to anyone else who has their own "steam" even if it means not playing some games. I'll live.

GOG Galaxy it's not DRM, it's optional, it's a game library, you don't need it to play your GOG games

GOG Galaxy

Still can be called a Games Downloader. Still probably overall the best client there.
