From what country you're? and the game on the thread title is Fallout 3 GotY not Vegas, but Vegas must be Steam too.

That's strange, haven't heard it before, only thing i know is that you can't get the uncut version in certain countries like Germany.

Not exactly true, the base game is cut for Germany, the UE not (because why not?!) :P
Afaik thze problem is the Bethesda's games are published by somebody else in East Europe so there are different versions of the game. Even the ROW copy that I can buy from Steam here fine is something else than the version for East Europe. Contact Ubi support and ask for a refund or a new key for your region.

CIS countries are usually who suffer problems from this things, and Germany by having a cut version :S

Had the same problem.

You should contact the support, they have offered me additional key for my region as soon as they receive a new bunch of keys from Bethesda. Unfortunately, it may takes a few days to process, though you can always ask for refund.

I am from Romania too and I've just bought it. I received the steam key instantly and I was able to activate it, it's really weird that you couldn't.

If the game won't be ported to steamworks, there is still a mod that removes GFWL ;)

There is a "mod" for every single game with GFWL, that removes GFWL.

Naja könnte ja trotzdem ein EU Key sein der sich dann bei Steam als uncut aktiviert, bzw. was wäre denn wenn es jemand kauft der nicht DL wohnt und mir dann den Key gibt?

Ich glaube mal nicht das du nen uncut key bekommst, sonst könnten die sich ja ihre Jugendschutzbemühungen sparen und darüber hinaus könnten Sie ja auch noch Ärgen mit unseren Zenso... äh Jugendschützern bekommen. Wenn du nen Freund aus Lampukistan fragst, kriegst du natürlich nen uncut key. Btw: mein FO3 ist uncut und ich habe es selber vor rund nem Vierteljahr von Nuuvem für nen Appel und ein Ei gekauft (3€?). Halt einfach bei ausländischen Shops die Augen auf, es ist ja nicht nur bei Steam und Uplay Weihnachten :)

Awesome. Thanks for the info. I didn't decide that I wanted to play the fallout games until after the halloween sale was over and I've been hoping they got another sale for them. Now let's hope New Vegas gets a sale soon. :P
