Is it worth to buy Borderlands for multiplayer only?

Probably more worth it if you have friends that get it with you. But the MP is still fairly active. Anecdotal example, of my friend list over 20 people have played it in the past 2 weeks. And it's not like I've sought them out for that game or anything, I only play it with a few people.

Yes there are still people playing it, so go forward and buy it if you want :D

I never had problems finding people to play with, but it's been a couple months since I tried. It's a fun game in single player, too.

I've put in 300 hours just solo. I've bought it four times. It's worth it for JUST SINGLE PLAYER, let alone the multi. There's a ton of people.

Well since it's on sale, players are most likely to boost again, and even before it, it's still fairly active. I recommend getting buddies instead of random strangers, makes the experience way more fun. But no matter what it's a fun game whether as a lone wolf or co-op dream team.

The multiplayer really isn't setup for playing with random people, because one person won't be able to get the quest credit if they are at a different part of the storyline. It's really for people playing together and not jumping in and out of other games. I found that a bit frustrating when one of my friends in the group went ahead and beat the next quest by themselves.

Well borderlands is basically MADE for multiplayer.

People will be there, but Borderlands isn't a very good game, I could recommend a lot better games to buy instead.

Imo, it's a pretty fun game IF you already have friends to play with or are buying a 4-pack to start playing with friends. I did not enjoy the mmo-style-quest-grind nearly as much when playing alone. It is a hack-and-slash, loot-collecting, co-op style of game with guns. Is that something you're interested in? If you're looking for some team vs team or MOBA style play, this is not that kind of game.

I put a shitload of time into it. It's worth the money, especially this cheap.

It's better to play it with your friends. Random people will sometimes ruin your game - steal loot, rush forward, randomly teleporting, etc.

Just buy if you have friends who play it. Or make friends here who want to play it ^-^
