I'm almost completely sure it isn't. It might be Origin redeemable, though.

that's a shame, i have a clicky of steam redeemables, but sometimes it's not 100% right, and sometimes steam do special keys they can redeem

(Edited.) My clicky is not better, but now I have to leave it here for the resulting conversation to make sense. No clicky necessary.

last i'd checked, that was an incomplete list. so i sought better. i found the wiki page, along with 2 other forums, but it seems Steam has FINALLY updated it

EDIT: upon closer inspection... nope, they haven't. still MANY games missing

Are you absolutely sure? I mean, the Steam support site does say

Note: Only the retail games listed above can be registered through Steam. No other retail games can be registered and downloaded using Steam.

Games in some regions come with steam activation codes, one example would be the Witcher 2, russian retail I believe. A non steamworks game.
Another example would be rome total war from gmg, a game also not on the list.

100%, just compare the two lists. the one game in particular i want, and yet steam aren't selling, even though it was released in December, and it's in their library. is Postal III, it IS steam redeemable, though they don't update their support page

i know, i got it with the free coupon, then they retracted it, that's all sorts of rude!

You didn't need a coupon back then. They just gave it away like Steam was giving away Portal 1.

i put in some coupon, like "BURNOUT" or something, to get it free?

EDIT: there was another game similar which i'd also got, but they retracted that too :'(

Includes software that collects data online necessary to provide ingame advertising.

After playing ~40 hours, all I saw were billboard ads for Nvidia and Burger King. It's not that bad.

Weird, I played this game a lot last year and I don't recall seeing any ingame ads. Might be a USA only thing, maybe?

I don't mind ads, I just don't want "software that collects data online" installed on my computer. It's the principle of the thing.

I never understood these "principles". I believe that companies knowing everything about me and mining all my data actually benefits me (as in targeted advertising, for example) and don't have any negative effects. I mean, really, I could care less if EA knows what brand my CPU is and stuff like that.

Yeah, me too, by the way. It really has an amazing atmosphere, as good as older NFS games had circa Underground.

Updated OP, for the record, the previous game was Burnout Paradise.
