Physical Games + Game banned in region = ?

If you didn't get the title, my question is if I buy the game's disc, Wolfenstein The New Order in case you wonder, will I still be able to activate it on Steam even though it is banned in my region (Israel).
plz help <3 kthx

It's really strange, though. Why did they ban it here in Israel, I don't think it happened before.

Might be the same thing as to why Germany censors or flat out bans anything to do with Nazis. Israel is a Jewish country and seeing as to what the Nazis did they most likely don't want games with swastichas (or how ever you spell it) all over the place.

I think you'll see this kind of error.

Had similar one when I tried to use UK cd-key or Rage when it was still region-locked in Poland that only copies bought here would work, even Steam couldn't sell it here.

You still need to type cd-key in Steam for game to be activated and start.
