Would anyone recommend saints row 2 over saints row the third

Saints Row 2, definitely. I was very disappointed with SR3 after playing SR2.

Story in SR 2 is a lot better than SR 3 but jokes and customization are better at this one. So it depends on your opinion.

If you are willing to do some work on Saints Row 2(there is a guide on the steam forums) i suggest you Saints Row 2! It's one of my all time favorites.

Yes, but the PC port is horribly broken, (crashing etc.)

Story and characters are better, gangs are handled better, they feel more like seperate gangs and not one alliance of three gangs.

The game is still over the top but at the same time it has more serious moments.

Saints Row 2 is just riskier due to the fact many people cant even play it due to being the worst port in existance.

SR2 was tons better but the port is bad, still worth it.

Also the customization, city, pretty much everything besides driving controls was better in SR2.

On PC, no.. Terrible port.

Indeed I would, I've spent far more time playing SR2 than I have SR3. The third is a good a game but I couldn't help but feel it was missing something that the second game had.

Saint Row 2 have a shitty optimization on PC but its still a great game.

Third is an excellent game and awesome PC port.
Second is an awesome game but a crappy PC port.

PC version of Saints Row 2 is pretty bad. On consoles it's good.

Suggestion don't play SR3 before SR2

and if you already played SR3 before SR2, DON'T, (I REPEAT) DON'T PLAY SS2!!!

SR3 is terribad, so I'd say 2.

Well i couldnt play the sr2 because doesn't work on windows7 without a community patch (which doesnt work perfectly). but i did have lot of fun playing the sr3

don't bother unless you got a xbox or playstation, it's a shitty port
