they are activatable, but they use the CD key activation system, NOT steam's GIFT system

yes most games can be purchased as retail, but the list of games that you can activate on steam via retail keys is rather short

As for why we don't want 10/100/many copies of games being given away, it's because 99% of the people dumping games like that either got the games via an exploit or bought them for pennies at a pay-what-you-want sale. The former is dubiously legal, and we don't want that kind of stigma around the site. The latter is ripping off devs, and we don't want that kind of people around the site.

that, or they refused to pay ultra-low amounts for the HIB, as that would be a kick in the balls for the HIB devs, and decided the bundle isn't worth paying a decent amount of money either.

I didn't say they don't want it, I said it isn't worth the trouble/money for them. On steamgifts they can get it for free, so there is almost no inhibition threshold

Thank you for showing us your absolute inability of being reasonable.
On an unrelated note, buying HIBs at 1ct apiece is a dick move, stealing from charity, yada yada
Edit: My point is, the 3 copies limit was created specifically for the reason to prevent dicks like you from buying HIBs for 1ct apiece and dump them here to amass points; as the HIB developers LOSE MONEY for any transactions lower than $1 or so.
Implementing the limit was a noble move from CG to reach out to the HIB devs.

It's actually on transactions under 40 cents I read somewhere

Lolwat? Why you talk me about it? You know how many i paid for HIB's? You clairvoyant?
[Q]>Corpekata:OP is now posting HiB codes under other games that were in the bundle.[/Q]
I do not think that you will be difficult to prove this, Sherlock!
What a interesting place. Clairvoyants, Sherlocks...

Oooh ooh I love Sherlocking!
Let's see. 2 people have accepted your gift of Crayon Physics Deluxe. And shocker, when they accepted your gift, they got all of the other Humble Bundle games. How can this be?
Wait, I'm sherlocking.
Clearly, the answer is magic. You're in the clear for now buckaroo.

Not magic, it's clearly the Mass Effect responsible.
Anyway, OCOM, nobody needs clairvoyance to see through you, only common sense. You already gave away 7 copies, and you are indicating you have more. Now can you present any reason I should believe that you paid an acceptable amount for at least 7 copies of HIB? IS there any logical reason at all? Am I sherlocking now?

If you have 100 copies of the Humble Bundle #3, you probably paid a penny for it.

You are suggesting that it would not matter where they come from, as long as he is giving it away. Here's a scenario for you: "Hey I just stole all these... let's say potatoes from child's play foundation, here, you can have some."
Besides, he is being rewarded for it in form of points.
