A question for The Witcher 2 owners

never had such a problem and already completed the game twice. only a few crash-to-desktop ingame but I can count them with one hand.

Tried starting the game without the launcher?

Does it have an error message at all? Or is it just a complete crash to desktop?

Better ask on the gog forums, they are knowledgeable and quick to respond when it comes to Witcher 2 questions.

I've never had this problem until just now so I'm guessing its for everyone.

yeah just checked it's getting crashed every time :S tho i played it couple hours ago :S

Repeating what has allready been said.
Gog version, laucher crashes, game works fine.

Just visited WITCHER and STEAM forums. Everyone has the same problem. Now let's just wait for a fix I guess....

go to gog.com. Enter your key because they will give you a free extra copy of the witcher 1 and 2 as long as you have the keys. Then BOOOM no drm

It worked for me when I played it 9 hours ago.

Honestly when I got this at release I feel like I had the same problem. Though at the time I hadn't finished Witcher 1 so I went to do that and more or less ignored my issue. By the time I fully finished it there was at-least 3 or 4 patches that came out before I started actively playing it.

It may just be an old bug that crops back up every now and then... or my problem back then was a fluke mirroring a more serious problem.

If you have a problem with the steam version I suggest going over to GOG.com. You can register your game there and download a DRM copy and see if you have problems there. Saves should transition over I think.

I have the retail version and it works fine. Looks awful though. Something in the updates must have screwed the settings since last time I played it.
