When one sees a sequel to a game go on sale at 75% off, one gains hope that perhaps the original is on sale at the same discount, if not greater. When one sees the GOTY edition of the sequel at 75% off, one reinforces that hope.

And it pisses me off to find that Borderlands and its GOTY edition are both at a measly 67%. Sure, that's about a difference of 10%, but alas, when that 10% is worth $2-3 and one is as thrifty as I, one does shed a tear at what could have been.

2K, I will put this into words as succinctly and as diplomatically as possible;

y u do this to me? :(

The first game has very little story. Don't get me wrong, I had tons of fun with it doing couch co-op with a friend but the story was pretty bare-bones.

I'd say read a wiki about the plot of BL1 and just play BL2.

Isn't this more to do with Steam/valve rather than 2k?

You're not forsaken by 2K, but Europe is, with the price for GOTY edition set to be 34% higher than in US ;p
Seriously, euro is worth more than dollar, and we've got base game priced 7,49 euro which is 10,18 USD at the moment, while US version is 4,99 USD. I was thinking about buying DLC's to the game, but now I'm not sure about it.

Borderlands is way too expensive for it's age. I mean, I bought Skyrim LE for the almost the same price that Borderlands in on now with a similar price reduction(66%). Makes you think...
