That answer would make sense, but there is the issue of the character wearing blue, not black. So, either someone screwed up the riddle, or that's not the right answer. We'll see, of course.

If you look at the drawings of the character though it appears they could be wearing a black jumpsuit (of which the mask is part of) under the outer layer of blue

It can be just to reference ninjas, as the word ninja doesn't even appear in the riddle - and the whole one is really vague, only the 10 seconds make anything stand out from the standard ninja stuff.

True, but for what it's worth a kunai is a Japanese dagger associated with ninjas.

edit: the other parts "no depth", "left to right", and "bright colors" also seem to suggest a 2D side-scrolling game with bright colors

Okay, true, I just meant that the kunai-black-spandex are both there to emphasize and reference ninjas, wihle not saying it :) Kunai would fit likely every ninja game, and black spandex alone isn't carry as much additional info as 10 seconds - this is why I thought that even with blue clothes, 10 second ninja seems more likely than random black ninja if we ignore the 10 seconds part, because in that case we don't have any distinct info :)

Nice pickup, I was trying to figure out how 128 would figure into a game with dungeons (I'm assuming DM = dungeon master). I was thinking along the lines of 128 levels or floors or something but this could fit nicely instead. Plus characters could refer to ascii characters. Also sanctuary is a synonym for shrine.

Strife is used as a word, and words have meaning, they aren't just titles.... "noun ; angry or bitter disagreement over fundamental issues; conflict."
If you look behind the order or letters then you maaay notice that the riddle's content has absolutely fucking nothing to do with Strife's description:

It's hardly a black & white thing but a lot of the bundles/deals are absolutely trash. And like being in an environment that smells foul where you become acclimated to and become noseblind to it, you have to step away for fresh air for some time before coming back to realize just how much it stinks. That's assuming one has their sense of smell though, which is not an automatic given. Anyway the truth makes people uncomfortable sometimes but that doesn't change the reality of what it is.

No. 3 seems a bit more obscure than the others but perhaps it could be one of the Stronghold games? I would tend to lean towards Crusader HD or Crusader II because of the content of the limerick (i.e. The Crusades). Many would regard them as having been wrong and the Christians were defeated in places such as Jerusalem (as depicted in the movie Kingdom of Heaven).

If #2 is To The Moon... that's been bundled repeatedly, put on sale for a dollar repeatedly, and there was that site a year or so back that was giving free legal keys to the game along with a few others.
It's not exactly what one might call "A Good Get." It's a good game, sure, but it's been a good game for a long while now and other places like Humble Bundle have already reaped it's bounty.
Edit: Hell, it was even in an Indie Royale bundle before they blew up.

Quell was already mentioned, and from a review I found some parts about old man, memories, yadayada. Adding to that Quell Memento ( memento: an object kept as a reminder of a person or event.) it's also a valid guess. Really not a better game though... any of these will be a hit it's still a good, but massively bundled game :\
