I don't know why, but I could never get into psytrance. I don't really know how to explain it. There's a lot I like about that song. There's a bunch of different individual parts that I find really good, but for some reason I don't think I would want to add it to a playlist and listen to it a bunch of times.

I think it might have something to do with the type of progression throughout the song. It seems like the song keeps changing throughout the entire song and doesn't have enough repetition. I think I prefer techno or house music that has a base tune (like a foundation) that the song gradually builds on top of and becomes more complex. Then I really like if they drop back down to the original base tune for a little while and then put all the complexity back on all at once instead of gradually building up. Daft Punk does a really good job of that on their "Alive" album.

I'm not posting these as examples of what I was talking about. They're just some random songs I felt like posting while looking through my list of music.
