Well may as well ask your friend to send you a executable file, just plop that into the folder and launch via Steam.

You mean the fact that OP creates his own thread and just copies what other users posted for some reason or that it was possible to get the game for free.
Its a shame that the game was free weekend a few months ago. Apparently you could get Bad Blood for free that way and I missed it :)

My point was why even create your own thread when there is one?

They where out of keys several hours ago. As mentioned in original thread.

It's a 5 years old game that's frequently on sale. If people want to play it so much, can't they just buy it at this point? It has very positive review rating on Steam. Do we really have to look for a shifty work around to make a developer copy of the game, meant for a level design contest, work as a playable copy? Seems like a really cheap thing to do honestly.

I agree that it's a great game and you should buy it if you want to play it, but this key is not permanent. As it's obvious from it's name, this is a "temporary access" key.
I just wanted to share a piece of information that I couldn't find anywhere else.

technically you own the license for the game you're pirating, you're just misusing it.

This is the sub which that key will activate.
As you can see, Dying Light is one of the apps which this package includes.
And when you redeem the key, Dying Light will appear in your library and you will own it.
So technically, you own the licence for the game.

This is just wrong!
A developer that updates the game regulary and works with the community try to activate modders and mapbuilders and in the end a lot of people just stealing the game.
I love the gaming community.

Ah yes because it's people who do this shit who hurt developers the most. Hmmm....
It's almost if, the game developers are treated like shit by their CEOs, not by players. But who i'm to argue?

You can look at it however you want but if people steal games, companies make less money and they're not going to deprive themselves or their stock holders. The ones that are paying for the games being stolen are the ones at the bottom of the ladder.
They pay through more pressure, less money and less hired with more work to do.
And please note I can express a contrary opinion without being sarcastic or flippant so there's a way to discuss and be civil.

Ah yes because we all know if one guy "steals" from a corporation, it'll go down in flames and instantly bankrupt. The reality is often disappointing however but whatever floats your boat fam.

In my time on internet i learned it's useless to argue with strangers on the internet because one another will stick to his point no matter how much facts were proven so to put it simply, you do you. Totally 0 issue over CEOs abusing employees with excessive crunch periods to the point where they need a therapy afterwards but it's apparently a poor argument, huh who would've though?
But yeah feel free to believe that stealing from corporations is super damaging to them. That said I won't argue anymore cus lol

Not trying to justify it, just saying my few cents. Couldn't care less if someone were to torrent DL off some weird website or something else but you guys apparently have to bend yourself apart the moment you hear about something close to it.
Let people do what they want to do and mind your own business buddy.

Don't put words into my mouth and call it a rebuttal. That's not even remotely what I said.
TLDR: CEOs abusing developers doesn't excuse players stealing their game.

Ah yeah now we will circle back and forth because you feel like I did something I precisely didn't.
Anyways is there a point in even arguing with you if you think people downloading a game off internet means abusing developers and making them homeless or whatever the thing you're trying so strongly to imply? Eh whatever, don't bother to answer i'm done with you.

It's not the gaming community in general. My buddies who mostly play on console would be absolutely disgusted just as I am. It's not even the PC community in general because most PC gamers don't even know what Bundles are. They have jobs and they only buy games they intend to play and maybe a couple more and they can afford to buy those games at reasonable discounts like Steam offers.
It's just this place here and a few other sites like r/freegamefindings that attract the worst of the worst the internet has to offer.
Sorry for being so frank but those people who would take advantage of an exploit like this, they don't deserve my respect nor my politeness.
