If you were a movie director who would u cast in a genre he/she/it hasnt played in before?

My choice would be Jackie Chan as a serial killer in some thriller/horror.

I would cast Jason Bateman as a bad guy. Like a really creepy, sinister bad guy. He's a great actor, he just always seems to choose to be in comedies and play really nice characters and I think he's good enough to pull off being evil as well.
