If nothing else, there's always a google search.
Aside from not being able to limit the search to threads, it also runs into issues with usernames that are commonplace words, and it only works on sites that are fully google indexed. So it's a great go-to to keep in mind when using sites, but definitely something which can still readily be replaced by a site feature properly dedicated to the task.

On a somewhat related note, if you need to keep track of a user who is prone to changing their name, right click on their "view steam profile" link in their SG profile and copy the url (in your case, https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198116110493) to get their steamID. You can then use that to persistently locate their SG profile (via https://www.steamgifts.com/go/user/76561198116110493).
In cases where you didn't manage to do that beforehand, sometimes you can still catch someone referencing the user by their old name through the aforementioned google search (though that serves to highlight another unfocused element of that approach).

Is it possible to search for discussion made by a certain user?
I know someone posted a link once and only his discussions poped up but not sure if he just used a specific Search Parameter in the normal search link to accomplish it.
I know this question was certainly asked before but didn't find it as well ;)
