Anyone? Can I just buy a new adapter or did the Xbox break with it?

So I think my little sister connected the power converter, into the power converter (to connect my American Xbox one to middle eastern power) so my brother wanted to play some Xbox and he thought the Xbox was already connected to the converter and he plugged it in, then boom! So let me get to the question, did the whole Xbox break or was it just the adapter for it? (the thing that looks like a laptop charger that you connect in the Xbox to a power outlet), and how do I fix it?
