■ Application Request Period :8/9/2013 ~ 8/18/2013

■ Number of Participants :300 people

  • Participants to this Closed Beta Test (“CBT”) will be selected from a lottery drawing if the number of applicants exceed 300 people.

■ Winners :Will be notified by mail from 8/19/2013.

■ CBT implementation period :8/20/2013 ~ 8/29/2013

■Participants must have a PC with the Minimum Spec. (detailed below) or better.

What 3D graphics are you talking about? It's still 2D at its core.

The art for KOF XII and KOF XIII is hand drawn, but the somewhat complicated process does involve 3D models at one point.

First they create rough pixel art of characters. Then they create rough 3D models based on the pixel art, and created animation libraries of the moves. Using the 3D models, they pose and print all the individual frames. They use those still-shots as guides to draw the final pixel art versions. (3D models were used for consistency.)

SNK posted a detailed description of the process, with pictures, as part of their promotion for KOF XII. SNK's estimate at the time was that the process took sixteen months to complete a character.

anyway I have "arcade version" of KoF13 on my computer ;)

Im a huge fan of KOF, i would love to see this steam version, also im ready to pucharse it, since got Skullgirls for wait this game, and now this but, o well... now i just need an arcade joystick.
