I've never been able to do any puzzles on jigidi. Perhaps if I show you what I see, you can help me understand this.

This is what I see when I go to your puzzle:
The puzzle is just a bunch of strangely striped pieces in colors that look nothing like the image you showed. Even trying to match weird striped colors together doesn't work. I'm assuming the pieces are supposed to look like the finished image, but I honestly have no idea how to solve it in it's current state. Is there something I'm missing that will make the pieces actually look like parts of the final image?

Thanks in advance if you can help, explain or fix the weirdly striped pieces. Cheers!

  • Try disabling dark mode
  • Try disabling all browser plugins
  • Try another browser
  • Try installing the latest driver for your graphics card

It might also be related to browser settings that try to prevent fingerprinting:

Thank you! It's working now. :D

I tried your suggestions, and here's what I got:

Tried disabling dark mode - no change

Try installing the latest driver for your graphics card - updated, restarted, drivers up to date as of Sep 21, 2023 - no change

  • if it matters, it's a GeForce RTX 3060 Ti

Try another browser - I was literally shocked, but Brave worked - I can see the pieces now.
Until I can figure out why Firefox is such a mess, I'll have to use Brave for the jigsaw puzzles. But at least I can see the puzzle pieces now, and that's great! :)

Try disabling all browser plugins - I didn't try this yet

YAY THAT'S THE ANSWER!
I'm going to leave my notes here for anyone else who might be facing the same issue:
Go to firefox > about:config > privacy.resistFingerprinting and set it to false, that fixed it for me. The pieces looked totally normal on a reload.
If you want to do puzzles but don't want to be fingerprinted, consider trying the Canvas Defender extension - it doesn't stop fingerprinting, but it does generate random noise you can change as often as you like.

Thank you again for your help WaxWorm, I really appreciate it!

🙄...Click on the image icons in the URL display section of the Browser and set them to "Allow". Then reload and the display will be corrected.

Please note that these are measures to prevent personal information from being siphoned off, and disabling them all the time will cause unfortunate events.

Thank you for the helpful suggestion, and for the img showing how to change settings for individual websites.

I was able to change my about:config fingerprinting back to true, but use the individual site option to allow it for specific websites like jigidi, and it worked fine.

Thanks for teaching me something new, I really appreciate your help!

I did peek at the jigidi help files, but I didn't see anything related to the oddly striped images I was seeing.

Thank you so much for the train and the giveaways! :)

So many firsts for you, and it's a first for me as well - this is the first time I have been able to enter a jigidi giveaway, yay!
