Yes, let's compare stuff nobody needs(skins and other useless customization stuff) with actual content(new weapons, characters, maps, etc).
Also great how DLC-Day 2 lists free updates as DLC so you can think to yourself: I'm getting "free" dlc here, what a steal!

Before you troll, check your facts. DLC has provided loads of weapons (mostly paid, but a few free), several levels (mostly paid, a few free), several new skill sets which change how one can play (many saying "Grinder" being the best of all), and 8 new characters (some of which add to the storyline, 3 of them were free as well). I don't know what skins you're referencing. There's no change of outfits options, like many games sell.
For instance, look at Evolve (http://store.steampowered.com/app/273350/). It came out this year, and it has 34 DLC, many of which are $5 re-colorizations of the same content. Plus Evolve's DLC total is over $100 more expensive than PD2's.
No one is asking you to like the game. Furthermore, I don't know why you are complaining about a game that you don't have in your Steam account. You're trolling just to troll.

I'm sure if you keep digging to defend your favorite game you will find more games with more dlc that are way more evil than Saintly Overkill. And if you want to compare Apples to Oranges, why not compare Payday 2 to let's say... Diablo II which had a great add-on for a good price and many many free "updates", heck even Diablo III had so many free "updates" and it continues to get more, while Overkill even makes you pay for a collaborative Chivalry "dlc" that you get for free on Chivalry.
Did I mention that Overkill actually got a publisher contract that pays for the development while Chivalry is still "indie"?
Also, you are right: Evolve and Call of Duty have a lot of "cosmetic dlc", those are pretty much 100% unneeded, you pick maybe 1 or 2 you like and don't buy the rest.
And yet it's ok to make you buy so many new characters, weapons, missions which you would get for free as updates in pretty much any other game?

Thats exactly my problem, lots of content that makes a huge gameplay difference behind a paywall in a multiplayer game. Thats keeps me away from it. LMGs, Snipers, Grenades, all kinds of entire weapon groups gone as advantage to bigger spenders. Thats a trash DLC model.
Campaigns and stuff are fair game, but a deliberate advantage is a no-no.

My preferred build doesn't involve DLC. It is a primary from the base game, and a secondary that was given free later; personally. However, I do like having the option to play in different ways.

Sly, the only thing you forgot, is that this is a thread about organizing an event for a game. You can say, that you don't like it, because of the DLCs, but keep in mind: You came to a thread, where the lovers of the game try to beat a challenge. If you don't like the game, fine, but if it's true, then, why did you came here for the first place? You are an obvious troll, who wants to generate hate for a game he doesn't like. I don't really like the new CoDs, but I don't go to every single thread about BO 3, and comment, that "CoD is shit".
Also: Do you know how much does it cost to keep a studio working? Especially a smaller one: developers have to get paid, bills for using the place have to be paid and so on. They have two options: They either create sequels for every year, or they release DLCs, so players keep them going. BTW sure, PAYDAY 2 has a lot of weapon DLCs, but do you really need them? You don't need them to beat the levels. I'm using a Mosconi 12G, and Judge Shotgun. Oh yeah, I bought the shotgun pack so I can use HE rounds. Most of the DLC guns are really mediocre. It's only your call, if you want to purchase them or not.
Judging from the games you own: Borderlands 2 has a lot of DLCs, and why aren't you raging, how they charge you money for 22 extra levels, and a third playthrough mode? Killing Floor too has a lot of DLCs, and those are weapon DLCs, so why did you buy them in the first place?

Not gonna load the game hope, once they wont be able to get 30k (seriously they cant even get 30k people online at the same time, other games have like 100k and more on daily basis) they understand that they doing something wrong with their game

Well, we missed it. Got about 16k online; however, that is on a Wednesday. Midweek probably wasn't the best of ideas, but it was good enough for a first go. A new time is being planned for 8 pm BST this coming Saturday. So, same time, but this Saturday.

Stopped playing the game quite awhile ago. They kinda saturated the content with DLCs. Also, many of the maps do not bring new gameplay elements. You can only make limited amount of jokes about broken drills before it gets stale.

Until they fix the garbage way they do updates that game will not be on my hard drive again. For anyone wondering, no matter the size of your hard drive they pre-allocate every bit of it then download and unpack, no reason at all for this and way too prone to cause glitches when streaming or doing pretty much anything else while this is going on. Other than that and being now the worst DLC fest since SR3 it isn't that bad of a game....

Payday 2 is the only one that ever hogged my entire hard drive for updates, does the same thing on my son's computer. Other games reserve some but they put a reasonable limit on pre-allocation. I'm guessing whoever wrote their update code forgot to set that value if they even put it in at all. Watch updates next time and available space, there may be others that do that but only one I have seen eat the entire drive during updates is Payday 2.

Hopefully they'll mix it up, because they just ran the same thing last year. I didn't even bother. Yet, I hope they do still run the Safehouse Nightmare as well so people can get those achievements. I'd just like something more than that too.

Just a suggestion: What if you have to play a heist to get +1 on Crime.net counter? I'd suggest everyone should do a Shadow Raid or other stealth starting heist, with Friends only or private match setting. So not just start PAYDAY 2, but buy a stealth heist, and stay at spawn.
