The new iteration of the unparalleled Paint series by Microsoft is FINALLY here...
Witness: Paint 3D!
The revolutionary new painting software that incorporates a new exciting dimension that brings it far ahead of it's competitors.
And it's free (it came with the creators update I think)

Look: 3D fishes and cats :D
Is this not the best painting/editing software yet?!

Free, as long you own something mandatory that is not free !

Otherwise, they won't even sell it to you.

That said, that is a good intro and incitement to lead people into digital creativity.

Little ad... If you like digital painting, consider - free - and cost-free Krita

So... it's like, not Paint. I'd rather learn to use Blender. :P

Blender is for professional experts and takes many years to learn the required expertise to fully operate efficiently
Paint 3D is intuitive and instantly usable even with by non tech-savvy computer users. While not as powerful as Blender, it's perfect for standard use :)

I guess. I did use Sketchup a lot (and I really mean a lot) quite a long time ago. Easy to learn, a bit harder to master. If you're interested in architecture/design, I recommend it.

Oh my gosh, Sketchup is really good to use. I used it for an architecture and engineering class back in highschool and it was one of my favorite programs that we got to experiment with.

Definitely an amazing creative software. I still use it to plan mostly anything I want to build/work on. Measurements are neat and clear, and everything just flows really well. I don't think I ever built anything amazing with it, but I did build lots of fun things and designs. I lost everything when my HDD died though, so I can't remember for sure what I created in there. :P

Well I still don't know how to use regular paint so I'll stick to alternatives. I doubt I can figure it out but a free 3d model program seems neat.

I used paint occasionally for pixel art, but now I use Gimp. Looks cool though, have it on my PC ;)

I'll look into it, thanks for the tip. Been 10 years since I last fooled around in 3DS Max.

7 years for me, and I tried the recent version, I'm a complete noob already. like it's a new program. I mean, I still know what to do, but I got lost in the interface.

If it's 3d that I want, I'll just adjust myself back to use the newer versions of 3dsmax. but that video capture might convince me to use it. not the first time I've heard of it but I think it's cool and simple.

Yeah you can export the history as a video so it's good to make tutorials etc. :P

3ds Max for 3D modelling/rendering. Photoshop for textures and 2D art.

Normal Paint for the win! I'm slowly pixel-drawing (because I really can't draw) my custom doppeldeutsche Schnapskarten!

Old school Paint lover here. Screw Microsoft and it's bastardization of a crappily iconic program. Nostalgia FTW!
