Well the FBI is responsible of copyright infringement and piracy which I always found amusing because it seems so unimportant compared to the other stuff they do.
I always imagine when I see that FBI / Interpol Piracy Warning that the FBI has a real task force dealing with piracy and busting down the bedroom doors of 16 year olds who pirated a Miley Cyrus song while Interpol has the intern dealing with it :D

Not dumb, rather not fully developed idea. There should be 1 admin for the trading section that can insta-suspend obvious trolls and spammers. But the site has become too big and support can't handle all the tickets and rule breakers.
It is working quite well in it's current state tho. I am not a fan of democracy but it has proven useful in the case of the Review voting. Far better than the previous system where you had to wait 1 year for a fake negative rep to be removed.

Most people can't pass such a requirement. Don't forget it's real value so games from giveaways won't add up to that amount.
A 50-100$ will be enough to stop second/third smurf accounts of already banned people to join the site.
For example there is currently a second account of a scammer who is banned for selling beta keys as full games (mostly Savage Resurection). He is now using his card farming account with 100% games from giveaways and no play time except for the card farming and is pulling the same trick.

That guy probably has some other fake accounts (I remember a similar case with a steam account called "Revealing Scammers" who was spamming negative reps on steamtrades a couple of weeks ago). He is most likely using his other accounts to allow his troll reps.

I had fake rep on my profile several times. I also had rep from people who were scammed by impersonators. This shit just happens. No big deal. But this is new - a guy seems to have quite a bit of fun spamming on my profile. I mean, just look at it. ^^
