Searched the forum so I dunno if anyone posted this yet but apparently there's gonna be more DLCs for BL2 but are not included in the season pass.

PCGamer

"Everyone has this expectation that those would be the four DLCs and then that’s it,” Pitchford said. “We’re going to do more. We’re going to do some other things. We don’t have details yet about it exactly."

“We’ve got more stuff in the hopper that we’re planning and that we’re getting pretty excited about. So if you are a Borderlands fan, you don’t have to be afraid that that’s the end of it."

So more campaign DLCs I'm guessing instead of just skins.

And Gearbox is developing a new IP of which we know nothing about.

Dangit, i heard about this but I didn't know that they weren't a part of the Season Pass... That's stupid... I just got that game with the Season Pass...

EDIT: Yay!!! I started an internet debate!!!

You got what was advertised with the Season Pass.

I didn't exactly pay attention to that... But I don't really, care, I may or may not get them later... I was actually given the game plus the pass for free, so it doesn't bother me a whole lot...

Season pass said only 4 campaign addons. If they add more, it's gonna be apart from it.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Wrong. It says ALL 4 campaign additions. If the new DLC can in any way be called 'campaign additions,' the season pass is lying pretty blatantly.

This is true, but oh well...

Comment has been collapsed.

Here's a question, if it says "All 4" and you get all 4 but a 5th is later added, can you really consider the 5th to be part of the 4?

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

It could be argued that the fifth wasn't technically a campaign addition, but it could be argued that it is as well. That's why they got so much flak for it and eventually decided to include it.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

If they include it though, then they would still be blatantly "lying" since the Season Pass was advertised as only having four DLCs.

From the Season pass page:

"Unlock more skills and levels with the Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack. Buy the season pass and get all four campaign add-ons plus the level cap for the price of three add-on campaigns"

Comment has been collapsed.

Very well, it's advertised as having four campaign DLC, the Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack, and a Level cap increase. That's still four campaign DLC and not five.

Oh, I misunderstood what you were arguing, my bad. And lying is a harsh word, but they're definitely misleading customers into thinking that there are only the four campaign DLC. If they planned on this from the beginning, then they're intentionally misleading customers, which is incredibly shady and basically giving a middle finger to anyone who bought the season pass thinking 'Oh, they said this will get me all the major campaign DLC, so this'll be fine.'

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

I think the more likely thing would be that, originally, they planned the four Campaign Season Pass and advertised it as such, then after the grand success of the game and DLC, decided to do some more. It's not intentionally leading customers, they advertised the Season Pass as what it is, and are now doing some more due to the success of it all.

Comment has been collapsed.

They never misled the customers.

"All Season Pass content will be available by June 2013."

Any content released past that date will obviously not be in the Season Pass. They even stated that in their interview that people thought that just because the Season Pass was done with that there wasn't going to be any more DLCs and they were there to tell people differently.

"Pitchford said people had assumed there would only be four pieces of DLC as that’s what’s included in the season pass, but assumptions aren’t always correct."

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

It did say that all BL2 Season pass addons will be available by June of 2013. They didn't lie that all campaign addons released before July 2013 will be in the Season Pass and that all other campaign DLCs won't be in the Season Pass.

this is why games only have certain amount of dlc because people complain when they want to make more instead of complaining that your getting more game play from an awesome game why not be ecstatic that your getting more even if it costs more i hope they do a season 2 because i am tired of a season pass being only one season.

Borderlands 2 is perfect, why would they give it up so quickly? They have made 4 amazing campaign DLC, the last one being almost an expansion pack for all the stuff it had. Maybe a second season pass would be like Valve did with the episodes, only it's not a separate game, but DLC inside the main game. Anyways, anything GBX does with BL2, it does it well, so I have no doubt that this will be awesome.

I loved BL2 and really enjoyed the Mr. Torque & Pirate DLCs. Hammerlock's just didn't resonate with me, but Tiny Tina's seems like fun. I'm definitely down for more DLC, as I feel like I still have a lot I can do with my existing characters in BL2. I'd rather build on my current characters then start them over.

AMAZING! - I love this game. I hope they keep bring out DLC to keep my interest in the game. I haven't played in a while, I think its about time I start a new character.

I don't mind paying for DLC, especially when its 75% off/

As long as they're good then I won't mind. Honestly I'm too far behind on the game to care about upcoming campaigns. I'll have to finish all the current DLCs once I beat the campaign.

That's a paradox right there, because Gearbox went from "best items drop everywhere" in Borderlands 1 to "best items only drop from bosses" in Borderlands 2. By far my biggest complaint about B2.

They've gone full on WoW raiding (loot) mechanics.. it's just not right for a game that's not an MMO. Why make a drop 1/1000 if it's a co-op. Btw it's not a paradox, just ironic.

I got bored with the crazy scaling that starts happening at high levels. Fights just become boring drawn-out slug fests. Doubt I'll be getting the next DLCs (havent gotten Kreig either)

It's basically pointless to play it on UVH mode for solo and I'm overleveled for the other modes, so much for scaling and balancing the game for solo players. Also matchmaking for DLC campaigns is a hassle even more than normal story.

This was totally hinted at if anyone played through the dragon keep DLC.

First one will probably be a hyperion moon base raid, and will probably be another 4 campaign DLC's in a second season pass.
