I have realized that I can't enter games that once were in my account because of those 'free weekend's.

I have noticed that it is happening with Natural Selection 2 and Ace of Spades for example.

I have just synced my account but those games keep appearing in my game's list.

Is it a known issue?

What should I do?

Thanks.

As 2 weeks pass, they'll disappear again.

I've heard it takes 2 weeks for the free weekend games to clear. Just be patient.

Those games are pretty bad in my opinion, but you have to try and remove all evidence of you having played those games via Steam and just going through your computer and deleting them.

This is a known issue with free weekends. All that can be done is for the user to remove any game content they may have on their computer and resync their SteamGifts account. It can take up to two weeks for Steam to update the user's library to reflect they do not own the game, however. Sadly, this is a problem on Steam's end and we can't change it.

Avoid syncing when there is a free weekend is your best bet to try to avoid that from happening. Otherwise it's like what others have said, takes a couple weeks to clear off your list.

It happened with me all I had to do was resync once and it went away. I don't know I heard it goes away after 2 weeks. Just wait it out.

OK, thanks to everyone who answered. I'll try to remove local content and re-sync.

This is a known issue.

In order to reduce the occurrence of such difficulties, on a Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday, go to Account->Sync Account->Force Sync in order to reset your sync date to earlier in the week than the free weekend games appear.

That way, if the free weekend game is something that you choose not to play, you won't have any problems with it on SteamGifts because it will fall away before your next account sync. If you do choose to play a given free weekend game, you'll be able to enter giveaways for it until you account re-syncs after the free weekend, but then you'll face the usual two week delay while Steam continues to list the game under your 'Recently Played'.

The best solution is resync on wednesdays and do not play free weekends
