Ok, we all have our favorite movies and out most hated ones as well.

Now lets see some of your favorite scenes from movies.

This one always gets me.
This one is also a favorite of mine. Little fact- Humphrey Bogart never actually said 'You dirty rat' in any of his films.
Also this will always be awesome.
Found another classic. :P

I'll post some more later as I remember them IF this topic takes off.

Edit- New rule- NO SPOILERS!!!!!

I'm going to cheat - because this is not from a movie, but from Fargo the series. But I do love this scene:

The best thing about season 3 was witnessing this moment at the end of an episode

Ahh, yes that was a brilliant scene. Loved how those two become partners after this too.

The Princess Bride deserves a mention. While Vicini (apologies for potential misspelling) holds an honorable spot, I think one of my favorite moments would naturally be:

Not going hunting for my favorite scenes, cause reason: spoilers - especially if you haven't watched the film, but if I had to pick just one (maybe two) of my favorite movies from each decade, they would be:

I got treally impressed with Fight club ending scene while "Where is my mind by the pixies" play. I call it absolutly movie magic. Also the Watchmen opening sequence, even watch mojo declared top 1 best opening sequences.

Bob Dylan's "The Times They Are a-Changin' was a very good choice for the Watchmen opening.

There was this one scene in Colleteral where the song "Shadow on the Sun" by Audioslave starts ... the first time I saw it ... it somehow catched me entirely ... check it out yourself ... (Volume up or you miss the good part)

Almost made me tear up. The movie was amazing and criminally underrated.

Since we are necroing this (a good one to necro!), I will mention the first few that came to my mind. One thing they have in common -- an incredible sense of tension escalation, also known as "oops... oh... watch out.... shit... WATCH OUT.... SHIT SHIT SHIT HOLYCRAPARONES!!!".

Also, great sound. :D

  • A certain central slow motion scene near the end of Looper (HUGE spoilers)
  • That middle scene in Gravity.
  • That scene in Untouchables with quite a bit of... 'escalation'.

Gravity was a FANTASTIC movie. A case that shows you don't need a big cast or even a full script.
