And it's a game they recently "patched" to be objectively worse. Songs removed, 16:9 resolutions gone and broken save games.

They have already paid for licenses thou, no?, otherwise they should be going around to peoples houses & scratching the music of peoples console & PC discs. Seems a dick move to treat steam uses like this

it says on the page "PRE-PURCHASE BY FEBRUARY 1 AND GET $1,000,000 IN-GAME PLUS A BONUS $300,000 AND A BONUS GAME
Pre-purchase and get $1,000,000 in-game ($500,000 for Grand Theft Auto V and $500,000 for Grand Theft Auto Online).
Pre-purchase by February 1 and get a bonus $300,000 for Grand Theft Auto Online and a bonus digital download of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas on PC.
Grand Theft Auto V for PC will be available for pre-load prior to release"
Still very expensive, I think i will wait

I'd get it from Steam, unless you don't care about having your game from there. GMG has this on pre-purchase for like 15 dollars cheaper than Steam, but it isn't a Steam key.

Anyway, that's not the best deal. It's $34 on Nuuvem.

Just never pre-order!
If you are okay with throwing 60€ out of the window in the case that the game turns out to be bad you could easily afford to pay for GTA San Andreas in the first place. Just wait until the game is out and look at the reviews, remember the GTA IV pc port? If you have a bad internet connection get the retail one, the game is 65GB big.

Yeah, but they're also the same guys who ported GTA IV to PC, which is one of the crappiest ports I've ever seen.

Just got it for 39.99. Luckily it's cheaper on the Indian page for Steam.

this.
pre-ordering is stupid.
it was valid 10 years ago when some titles were sold out on first day and you had to wait few weeks till they were restocked.
but you can download it anytime. wait till first reviews are out.
recently too many games were released in a version which was not even beta (ac:unity, watch dogs, etc)...

Pre order and receive money that you can get from ingame cheats and a downgraded version of San Andreas with the songs removed and added bugs?
Thanks Obama.

You could just wait for a sale, that will also give you time to judge if the game is worth it.

You shouldn't pre-order it just for the Rockstar's history with bad pc ports. Just wait for the game to be released and then buy it if the pc version is good.

Anything can happen in 2 years.. you could even die and never play GTA 5.

Yay, changed to $50 for me. I'm getting it. I don't give a shit.

I got a gift copy of San An with it, not sure if thats because everyone gets a gift copy or if its because I already own San An

Ppl say it cost $30 in Chinese store, does it have region locks? I don't see China prices here https://steamdb.info/app/271590/ :/

Yeah, how about let's not do this. We still have no assurances the game will even run properly on PC, because, as I said in the last thread, this is Rockstar we're dealing with. PC has always been an afterthought for them, and Grand Theft Auto IV was perhaps the worst-optimized port we'd seen from them yet.
I have high hopes for Grand Theft Auto V, because they've made a lot of comments about additional content, and the added delays are giving them a lot more time to iron out the wrinkles. Hopefully it'll be a great port—but they're not getting twopence from me, let alone $70, until they prove they've earned it.

Okay guys so if we pre-order GTA V, we get a bonus digital download of GTA San Andreas...now will that be a Steam game too? O.o
And so we get no trading cards or whatever...:P
Big question: Should I pre-order it? Are you guys going to pre-order it? And should I get this from Steam or from retail?
