That's not what the guest pass is. You're talking about recruit a friend. That requires the veteran to email the newbie with a recruit link.
A guest pass is just a 7 day trial but it's irrelevant because Wow and Starcraft now have unlimited trials. No requirement for passes anymore.

If someone does a recruit a friend referral link, it gives a trial version activation but it's not a guest pass.
It goes referral -> trial, not guest pass -> referral.

read above, guest passes aren't needed anymore, both games have an unlimited time trial w/ restrictions (eg only level to 20, only play first 4 singleplayer campaign maps)

well, if I have a guest pass is the level/map restrictions removed? if so I could start as trail then when ı reach limitation activate the pass? thanks for providing the info btw

No, its the same thing. I'm not even sure if guest passes are redeemable anymore since the removed the entire time system. They may just redeem for starter edition which is free to signup for anyway and is keyless. I'll check with my contacts.

I think the point was to make more people aware that they can already play a trial without a guest pass because there are more people asking for guest passes than there are guest passes. Didn't want people to not play the trial because they though they needed a guest pass and didn't get one.
