Early last month I won a Saints Row 2 giveaway and after a few days I received a Steam activation code. I managed to successfully activate the game on my Steam account, but yesterday I was welcomed with a message that the game was revoked due to payment problems. I marked the game as "not received". Is this the right course of action and is there anything else I should do? Thank you in advance for any help and sorry if this is posted in the wrong forum category.

Tell the giveaway creator about it. They might have got the gift through a trade (I've had that happen to me, traded for same games, and they got revoked half a year later)

I'll try to contact the giveaway creator. I did contact him before to get the game too. He gave away 3 copies of the game at the time. I'm not sure the other 2 people that won have the same problem. I don't want to needlessly bother people, but I guess I'll see if the giveaway creator knows something about it.

It seems the other 2 winners had the same problem, the game isn't in their libraries, and they both marked it as "not received" too.

Thank you for pointing that out. It seems like it was the only giveaway he or she did. I'll try to contact the creator, but I guess I shouldn't expect too much.

Luckily, the GA creator's steam profile have an open comment section so the OP might get the GA creator's attention there.
