Is it just me or there wasn't an "above the average" price rise on HB before? Yesterday I was like ah sweet 5$ for a bit more games (talking about SquareEnix 2 bundle) and today it's 7$ already. Using HB for more than a year already but I don't remember such thing happening.

Lol well the way humble bundle works is $1 gets you the base games then you pay above average which means that if its 5.00 as soon as someone pays above average it will go up to 5.01.
Then they have there top tier which is usually like $10 or $15 gets you some new games.
Does that make sense?

Ok so you're saying that I'm wrong? how so? if it starts at 5.00 and I pay 5.01 the new average is 5.01 because 0 people bought it at 5.00.

if you're the last man alive or really fast to be the first buyer, sure. but how is this relevant? you said it like if someone (not just the first buyer, anyone) pays just above the average, it raises the average.

so do i. it's not designed to raise the average a cent after someone buys the bta tier. the average rises when it rises.

It's the average, not a 'more than the price that we set and that will increase each time somebody buys it'. If people buy the bundle for $1 the average will lower (or at least not rise).

The bta amount seems to be a bit higher than it was last year because they've introduced the third tier which is normally $10-$15 for extra games, which pulls the average higher. System is still pretty much the same though and averages almost always rise through the course of the bundle

I dunno, I've only seen it happen once, but on one of the humbles the average went down after the bonus games were revealed since a bunch of people just started getting the $1 tier.

It happens if the bundle if people really want the BTA. I'm not sure how you havent seen this phenomenon before, because the previous Star Wars bundle showed the same thing. BTA started at like $7 and by the end of the sale it was $11.50
