I use https://store.steampowered.com/account/registerkey anyways since it's easily superior, so idk about that.

Yeap, do this. I stopped activating keys through steam desktop client since i found it.

Why would you rate it as superior? Genuinely interested.

Not who you replied to, but I think it is better too:

This. Also with Enhanced Steam you can activate multiple keys at once which is helpful after purchasing a bundle.

OK, so you have to tell us(well, me) how and why that came about??? I am intrigued(read nosey).........

Well if it bothers you so much you could always create a filter in GMail for forwarding those directly into the trash bin.

Indeed. Seems weird that OP has that "problem" for only two months.

I activated a key few minutes ago with this feature and I never had a error now or in the past. :)

Me as well, it started to become like that a few days ago but stopped today

Once you gather more games, Steam starts lagging like hell with each new key redemption, in my case with 8.5k I need to wait good 5-10 seconds before my Steam client unfreezes itself to allow me to hit cancel.
And then you also need to find the key activation option and repeat all steps again for each key, it's very bad method once you have like 10+ keys to redeem this way.

Once you configure ASF, there is nothing faster than typing "r", pasting the key and hitting enter. If you have a lot of keys to redeem, BGR is even better, paste list of keys and ASF redeems them all.
I use those two exactly because they're more convenient on top of lack of spam in form of receipt on e-mail or agreement to conditions over and over again.
If web redeem or Steam client had a way to specify multiple keys in the queue, it'd be on-par with ASF. I can see a reasoning why Valve doesn't want to implement it though.

About a month (or was it two?), since that big update steam client key activation has become a real pain! I mean, it works and all! But it doesn't go to the activation process quickly and just shows the bloody steam subscriber agreement for almost a minute, before it decides to let me activate the key!😈
Is it just me, or everyone has this?
It's really annoying, and for now I decided to put this in my profile comments https://store.steampowered.com/account/registerkey
😈🔥
