Hello!

I'm looking for game suggestions to play with my girlfriend. Feel free to ask questions and maybe figure out what to with this 7iifY before replying. Maybe you will get more ideas while adding a 1 to 7.

So I'm a gamer. Pro gamer, hehe. I have played wide variety of games and I catch on pretty quickly. I have completed all Dark Souls games, I have build vast empires and conquered world in Civilization, I have beaten Cuphead and I have reached high ranks in CSGO and created competitive decks in Magic. My gf has played Minecraft. She isn't competitive, but she is creative. What can we have in between where we can both enjoy time together?
Some examples: We really enjoyed Stardew Valley. She was more responsible about doing quests and decorating our house, while I brought in the money by watering plants every day and planning what to plant when. We both enjoyed our roles.
Then we also played Overcooked 2! Although she was very happy and overjoyed when we did get 3stars on levels, it did also result in a lot of confusion and hopelessness when we didn't. We figured that timed challenges isn't something fun for her.
She really enjoyed Portal Knights. She felt like in her field. Mining and building and collecting materials. For me - it was super boring. Enemies are so goddamn easy to beat even if you are heavily underleveled and underequipped. For her enemies however were a challenge. I started liking the boss fights, but she constantly died while I chipped away the health, so again I felt kinda bad for carrying.
We played The Battle of Polytopia. I thought it was easy to get into and you could win if you got a good start. It is a minimalistic 4X game essentially, but even though I was at war with everyone and she chose the map (I randomly picked civilization that was unsuitable for map), I still came out overwhelmingly strong.
We played Don't Starve Together. We didn't enjoy constantly having to look up wikipedia, just because there are so many items and materials.

Please give suggestions.

i had a lot of fun with Totally Reliable Delivery Service with my girlfriend BUT the game is not much confort to play (especially on nintendo) because must hold down buttons for grab things and don't have an option for activate the hold on with 1 press.

They may not fit 100% well, but maybe it's worth a look:

39 Days to Mars -> short fun game with some puzzle like Minigames
Unrailed -> from play style it's similar to overcooked
Children of Morta -> diabolo style game
Octodad
The Cave

39 days to Mars looks good to try.
We also tried Children of Morta. Though I liked it, gf didn't enjoy it as much. Probably because we died often too :D

Not sure if these are up your alley, because you didn't specify how you intended to co-op so I'm just throwing some ideas based on your post:

If you don't mind challenging MMO's, then Final Fantasy XIV monthly subscription + non-P2W and Mabinogi F2P and P2W are really good ones.

Just for clarification: Are you looking for games supporting split-screen or just games that you can play in co-op?

Hmmm... if your gf enjoys Minecraft, maybe you could look into some modpacks, which you would enjoy too?

Rayman Origins (Good game, really fun in coop)
Cat Quest 2 (It's really easy but it's quite fun and cute)
Castle Crashers (Beat them all legend, amazing in local coop)
Hyper Light Drifter (added quite recently local and remote coop)
Biped (Physics game that is really cute and needs intense cooperation to go through obstacles. I recommend it !)
Broforce (It's quite fast gameplay so maybe it's not ideal with someone more casual, but it's a good coop game)
For the King (Get both the feeling of a RPG and a boardgame both at once, but is really hard really fast and you need planning to beat it)
Kingdom Two Crowns (Really good local coop game, it was a pleasure to beat ;3)
Juicy Realms (I loved that one in coop but the game is uncomplete and have a LOT of bugs, but it's a roguelike/binding of issac style game with cute graphics)
Strikey Sisters (Brick breaker game with both cute graphics and fast gameplay, it is really fun in coop)

[I recommend them to play in local but it's versus games]
100% Orange Juice (You will need two copies tho but it's fun, I use to play that on the same couch with two pc's)
Blood Bowl 2 (If you like board games, it might be really fun to play. It's PVP and not coop, but it's fun and you can play on local)

I'd recommend trying the We Were Here series if you both enjoy solving puzzles. The first game is free. Some prefer playing it with a separate voice chat, but I find that learning and maintaining proper radio etiquette is a fun part of the game.
Gauntlet can be quite fun and different characters have different skill ceilings, though I'm not sure if it's going to be challenging enough to be interesting for you.
Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime is a lovely experience, you can have some tense moments, but overall, once you figure out how to approach things, you can avoid being overwhelmed.
Terraria is fun too. It would probably allow you to fulfill different roles, like in Stardew Valley - one goes into the wilds hunting for resources, while the other builds and decorates a lovely house... or ten. Similarly to Don't Starve it suffers from the need to study the wiki, unless you want to take a long time figuring out everything yourself. Some things are easy to figure out on your own, if you use the NPCs properly, but a lot of stuff can be quite obtuse
Starbound is very similar to Terraria, but with it's own quirks and unique mechanics (building a pond that actually collects rain water was a novel and surprisingly fun experience for me). I'd say this one doesn't require nearly as much wiki browsing as Terraria.
Human Fall Flat is a blast, if you enjoy physics platformers with puzzles. Some places can be tricky for less agile players, but cooperating to make sure that everyone gets to the end can be very rewarding. It has a bunch fan-made levels in the workshop and some of them a very good too.

For starters maybe something puzzling like Biped, Degrees_of_Separation or DYO, which also happens to be free.

Myself I played Darksburg on my own for a bit and there was definitely something missing!

Then there´s Dungeon_of_the_ENDLESS, which is always good no matter what and the same might be true For_The_King. But I´m really into turnbased stuff, so there could be a difference of opinion here.. which brings me to my beloved Thea games. I really liked the First one better, though they both have Demos, so there should be no harm in trying.
Apparently one can even hunt the Moon twogether or explore the lands of Wildermyth.
Everything will be fine as long as everybody stays Grounded, otherwise a Spiritfarer might help, unless the situation really gets Desolate.

In that case differences might have to be settled with a round of good old XCom, so that a Remnant_From_the_Ashes can rise as a grown Ashen again.
(these last two, and I have no idea, if your girlfriend will be into such games, seem to be much better and easier accessible when played in co-op)

cheers & HF !
