The pricing is not that surprising. Slim/portable laptops have always cost more than your average bulky, desktop-replacement of a laptop because parts have to be specially designed and manufactured to be compact. It's the addition of power-gaming hardware that makes up the remainder of the price. Imo, it looks quite sleek, and 7 lbs for a laptop with a 17 inch screen is not too bad. I wish they had alternative models that focused more on the portability aspect, as there is a dearth of portable laptops that have any power whatsoever.

Yes, they saved us all! How were we to ever play games portability without their new gadget, the "laptop". What wonders will they come up with next? On a serious note, with all the press they added to this, you would think they re-invented the wheel.

I won't be getting that even if I had $2,800 to waste on something that would be outdated in a few years.
