The last month their various mystery bundles were always at the top of their top seller list or very close to it. Sadly they seem really popular so now we are seeing even more of them. Quite immoral business behaviour but absolutely logical on their part.

They sure can... but what would be the benefit of doing so?
I mean, so what if the Summer Mystery bundle is their #1 selling "title"... I doubt people buy it because it's supposedly selling super well. Could that be an incentive for devs to have their games be part of a mystery bundle? If that was the case, we'd have seen more diversity in the pool of available games and that's definitely not the case.

There is a psychological reaction that if someone has it it must be valuable. So if so much people are buying it/ validate it then it will be more attractive. I'm a little sick right now so I don't know how much what I say is comprehensible.
Anyway lying about it would benefit them. But not sure they have to, because the changing themes, the adaptable price and the hope which comes with gambling can do the trick.
Edit: Forgot to talk about the fact that they are putting that thing everywhere, it has better chances to push people to try than just putting it in the main page.

Oh no, it makes sense.
There is also a phenomenon in the random key market where upon recieving a game that they think looks boring or that they already owned due to bundle fillers, they check the game on Steam / their favourite storefronts as a means of affirming they got a good deal. The chance of that specific chaff key being on sale at that moment is usuall low, so as they add it to the bottom of their backlog with no intention of playing it, they kind of do the opposite of the 'sour grapes' thing. Its like a defensive reaction to soften their disappointment, but that leaves them more likely to gamble in hopes of getting a rare or genuinely interesting game the next time.
The random key sales prey on that gambling impulse in a particularly nasty way, in that the number of keys naturally have certain limits based on their stock. However the promise of a rare or expensive game stays floating there long after the tiny handful of worthwhile keys have long since been won, while the endless landfill of low-resale keys just keeps on giving and giving and giving.
The only time the random key purchase has ever felt less seedy was when GOG did it, and that was because they said they modified the selection algorithm so that it weighs heavier towards titles you don't already own. The drawback here being that (if I recall correctly) duplicate keys on GOG have an expiry date to be given away, and then they just evaporate.

Even if most people in the survey selected the option for not wanting mystery bundles, my bet is that Fanatical is using the least hated mystery ideas, and that must include mystery games by genre.

I think at this point they milked they mystery box gimmick for everything they could and I have a feeling that these next sets of mystery bundles may be the ones that start to show a big decline in mystery bundle sales for Fanatical.

I don't buy any of these, but they are tempting especially when they let you add a couple of keys with your regular purchases. I'm thankful for the flood of giveaways this causes on this website for those who buy these mystery bundles (^^)'.
Appreciate the charts and Happy late Cake Day Shakti 🎉🎂🎈
