Dis chola got abs o' steel. She'll run up to crazy gang bangers and stabby chicken ladies and be all "STAB THESE ABS!" and then laugh at them when their knife breaks in half.

I used to practice taichi, but I'm too nocturnal to attend classes now. I do miss it though. Besides the physical benefits I was so much less stressed on a permanent basis due to taichi. Funnily and kind of scarily enough an 11 year-old girl was the best one of all of us when it came to push hands. "Time to put some bitches on the flo'." 11 year-old girl probably.
I did just start strength training though. After losing a lot of weight I looked at myself and was surprised to see there wasn't much left after most of the fat disappeared. :/ Yeah I should do cardio too but damn it I'm still a lazy bastard. I'm just a thinning lazy bastard now.

I don't lift.
I don't do martial arts.
But i train in combative arts.
I highly recommend if you wanna start, look for the best of the best first. More importantly, legit. Because otherwise they'll just waste your precious time and/or money. One of the indicators that your trainer/Master/Grandmaster is legit is if your payment is not an issue.
Oh yeah, and just in case you're curious, there is no fame and glory in any form or style of combative arts. Because these can't be used in sports. There is no way it will be allowed on full application. Haha. I'm just saying this so the curious won't get disappointed. :)
P.S. Keep in mind MMA, Boxing or any of the like are still businesses. Rules are there to prevent players of the sport acquiring long time / permanent injuries. Else there wouldn't be any players left to keep the sports entertainment business running. So yeah, if you wanna learn legit stuff, i think i gave a very good hint on what you should do.

When I was younger, I did Wing Chun kung fu, as my father did when he was younger. I grew up watching kung fu movies and wanted to learn flasher martial arts, so in high school I stopped learning Wing Chun and switched to TaeKwonDo. I enjoyed that quite a lot, touring with a small group from my school and performing around the city. An accident in my junior year left me with a broken ankle and I was unable to train for about half a year after that. Once I stopped training though, I found it difficult to balance school, work, friends and martial arts and I haven't really practiced martial arts since then, though I did spend about 6 months dabbling in Sanshou Kickboxing while I was in college.

My gym membership ended two months ago, but if I had it I would be lifting now.
