I love the ubisoft person's statement... You need GMG open to buy. You need uPlay open to activate/download/play. So the best solution is to link the two together, so you basically save the copy-pasting time, and present it as something revolutionary.

Wow. Uplay is already shit, and they're trying really hard to make it even worse. As if Ubisoft games not having Steam keys wasn't bad enough, now they're removing keys entirely.

"We now support Ubisoft connect.
This new feature allows customers to redeem their Uplay purchase directly on their account by logging into their Uplay account, when prompted, from either their confirmation page or Purchase history.
Uplay accounts will not be connected to your Green Man Gaming account, you will need to login on each occasion to redeem your game. You can see a history of which Uplay account has redeemed each game in your Purchase History.
Keys will no longer be provided for Uplay purchases.
Please note, refunds cannot be offered if a key has been allocated to your account when a key has been allocated, although hidden from view, a redemption button will be present on your purchase history."
