The Witcher 3 GOTY vs DOOM...HELP ME!

I'm voted for witcher 3 but its up to you.What kind of games do you like ? shooter or rpg ?.

well, W3 is the obvious choice, but you gotta invest time in it. DOOM is more of a leisure shooter I guess?

Depends if you want to invest like 200 hours into a game or want some "relaxing" shooter for like 10 hours instead.

It's like having 2 foods to choose: pizza vs beans.
The pizza is obviously the most popular choice and you can choose what to put on it.
Some people will prefer the beans, especially if they're lactose intolerant and can't eat the pizza or they just don't like pizzas.
Same goes for Witcher 3 GOTY and Doom.
Witcher 3 GOTY is the most popular choice and the most likable one. You can put two dlcs on top of it to make it even better.
Some people will prefer Doom, especially if their pc can't handle Witcher 3 or if they don't like the genre of Witcher 3.
I would personally suggest you to buy Witcher 3 GOTY. It's GOTY for a reason. ;)

i think doom is awesome but i played just the first map. both are pretty different, depends on what you prefer.

you can't compare a fps with a rpg.

Since your game list has a few things that can be called similar to Witcher but apparently you didn't really play anything close to Doom (or at least not on this Steam account), probably the Witcher.

If you look at it as value, you get a ton more for your money gamewise with Witcher 3. It is a hard choice though, because sometimes you just want to shoot some demons.

A good game (Doom) vs the best game ever (The witcher 3). The witcher 3, hands down!!

I have both. And honestly, for that money, if you are not into multiplayer of Doom, you're better off to go for the Witcher. It has hours upon hours of gameplay.

I have played some of Doom and I can say it is an enjoyable shooter for me but there is not much to it. The Witcher 3 looks pretty interesting to me and I thought about buying it myself.

200 hours vs 11 hours.

The mere thing of you questioning us about both games makes me think that you really want to try out DOOM because we all know that The Witcher 3 is GOTY. IMO both games are good. I have met the developers of TW3-CD Project Red and those guys are hardcore. I am expecting a lot in their future game Cyberpunk <3

doom is fun and all but you will get SO MUCH more out of witcher 3. it's really no contest.

Different devs, different genre and different prices. Why compare the Both?

Witcher 3 is overrated, the story isn't that good and the gameplay is not that great. In the end its started to feel like a walking simulator the map is way to big and there is just not much to see. The combat felt like it was really bad.. In the end it felt like there was no exploration it didn't feel like a open world game to me and the story didn't catch me at all it felt like the characters barely had any personality. The side missions just take way too long because u are travelling from one end of the map to other all the time and they aren't interesting at all either. But hey 80.000 people on steam seem to think its a awesome game :)

Just get Skyrim Instead of the Witcher 3 its better especially if u mod it.

Doom on the other hand has awesome combat. But its way to short. The multiplayer is decent but i don't really like multiplayer in shooters usually.

I would recommend Shadow Warrior 2 its comparable to Dooms combat but for me it felt more enjoyable and more interesting with the amount of combo's and stuff you can do. The story is also really funny if u are into that kind of humor.

Try Doom Demo version on Steam, this will help you make a choose :)

Otherwise buy Witcher 3

They're both good games, and you can't go wrong with either choice. The Witcher III will probably take more time to play, if that's your cup of tea, but I thought DOOM's gameplay was unmatched. Rip and tear. All that jazz.

Witcher 3 ^ doom is good but cant compare these 2 realy

PACING and EXPERIENCE.

What you want most right now? A blast or a slow but deeper experience?
Witcher 3 is the more meaningfull without a doubt. Its packed with awesome stories and encounters, but pacing wise its slow. Im still halfway throught (if not less) and while some awesome story pieces happened, i can see the full delivery will come many many hours later. I will have to play for many more days and hours to get the full delivery (its a story heavy game- even if the journey matters more the full delivery comes with the story end). Surely it is way more engaging and meaningfull when it comes because of all the atachment, details and unfolds before it when it comes... when it comes. Its a game to immerse yourself and sink your teeth little by little.

Doom in comparison is a shotgun blast to your face. Theres awesome moments and greater challenges ahead, with escalating difficulty and gore and explosions but you get the full delivery upfront, right here right now. Its a breathtaking mindless romp, wich is a beauty thing on itself. Apples and oranges, one isn't better then the other. Doom lacks amazing story and vistas not because its lesser but because it doesn't need it, more, it would be lesser if it had it. But it doesn't lack in the amount of craft and quality put into it.

And i don't put value on games based on hours. heck, thats the reason the market is so full of grindy and inflated games. Imagine a movie you love and a series you love. Witcher is the series, Doom is the movie. Watch one of the best mindblowing blockbusters of the year or one of the best series?

Today i personally would choose doom. tomorrow witcher. But thats me, im in need of something more immediate and breathtaking right now. My witcher 3 is sitting on my library for awhile because im not in the mood of a slow paced rpg right now (even tough its my favorite genre bar none).

Witcher 3 hexes all over Doom's ass. It's not even a matter to be questioned.

Is that even an option? Obviously Witcher 3, it has tons of hours to play, tons of stuff to do, it's a big RPG with a big world and activities, also story is good too.

Doom is a good shooter, but there is nothing to do after beating campaign, also as ppl say campaign gets boring to the end, so it's good that it's not large. Also MP in Doom is pretty boring, so it won't last. So it's a game that you beat and forget.
