Darkbase 01 is no longer available in Steam store but some of us still have some unused Steam keys we could giveaway. I think that it should be re-added to the list so that we can create new giveaways with this game. At the moment of writing this post, there are still some active Darkbase 01 giveaways here and people are actually entering them and now even more that the game is no longer available on Steam so this would be one way for the people to get the game and yes it can still be activated even though the store page no longer exists.
Well, I don't know if this would come back with a value going towards the level progression of the creator or no value at all, but those giveaways of Darkbase 01 that are still active clearly have the original value so what is the point of not letting us create more of them?
In these days when Indiegala and other similar pages are giving away games for free and then they are removed from Steamgifts list of games allowed for giveaway and games removed for whatever silly reason by developers themselves from the Steam store (like in case of Darkbase 01) and ending up the same way here, at this rate I'm afraid that Steamgifts users might actually start losing a chance to get many good games and it seems like once a game is gone it's gone and will not be added back here so the list of games someone might still like is getting shorter.
As for the games being removed when they are given away for free, while I do understand the reason behind it, I honestly think it should be added back at some point because clearly people can't easily get tons of keys even when they are given away for free. In theory, yes they can but it would be really silly and too much hassle, also as far as I know the way this site works, when you give away more copies of the same game, it starts losing value towards your progression anyway? So even if you got let's say 1000 keys when it was given away for free and would give them all away here, contribution value here would most likely not make up for the effort of creating 1000 unique email addresses, sign up with each of them to get 1000 free keys...
