  1. I hope that it doesnt.
  2. Some 1P shit i believe.
  3. Because i'm crazy like that.
  4. To some extent yes. Sometimes i just get an urge to make some giveaways but if i win few games in a row or particularly nice game i sometimes feel urge to give something back immediately.
  5. Nah
  6. Welcome to my BL
  7. I enter mostly only giveaways from my wishlist. Sometimes i enter stuff with low entries since i'm likely to win. Never entering games i have no intent to play though. It's just that there are games i'm more excited about and would play immediately after win and games which would spend some time in my backlog until i pick them up.

  1. No Idea! I don't have strong feelings either way to be honest.
  2. Batman Arkham Asylum GOTY - https://www.steamgifts.com/giveaway/ASxxh/batman-arkham-asylum-game-of-the-year-edition
  3. Because it makes me feel less guilty about all the games I buy for myself probably.
  4. Only if it's a group GA
  5. Nope
  6. If they have money I think they're a little selfish. If they are poor then they're welcome to win any of my giveaways.
  7. it's spontaneous, I decide when making the giveaway.
  8. I only really enter group giveaways or large key ones. I'll enter a public one if it's a title I'm after though.

I dont buy this 'too poor to give at least something ' bullshit. They are registered on this site so they have PC,they have electricity ,they have internet. That means they have home and they have all the basic things otherwise they would sell their PC if they would be starving.

My effective gaming budget every month is basically 0. I make enough money to make an okay living but after paying for everything i never have any spare cash for games though i find ways to contribute and share something with the community :) It'sless about money and more about your attitude.

Yeah! I do appreciate what your saying mate, You're totally right, Anyone who is here should be able to give at least something back and if they really can't, then they have better things they should be doing than playing PC games.

Everyone goes nuts about the level 10's and how awesome they are blah blah blah. But In my opinion the real heroes are the ones who contribute even though they have very little to contribute with. I'm not sure I could be so generous if I was in a similar situation.

My comment disappeared and I'm afraid it will show up when I send my second one, but welp.
2 - Half Minute Hero - Humble Bundle, I already had it and it was pretty great
3 - Mostly because I won't play the games anyway
4 - It makes sense to me to do so.
5 - No, but maybe it's like placebo.
6 - You do you?
7 - I do 1 hour long giveaways, because I'm afraid I'd forget to send the key in a speedy manner, and that would be unfortunate for the winner. :'D Level 1 usually, too, because I haven't done giveaway as level 2 yet. I suppose I'll do public giveaways with my level.
8 - Wishlist - Recently bundled games I really want to play (Goat simulator right now! :D) - Group, if there's something I'd like to play. I don't really enter mass giveaways, because they're usually not for games I'd like to play.

2 - first GA - Circuits
3 - why do you giveaway games/dlc - For games from bundles: mostly because I either have the game, or don't want, or I want but I don't think I will play it anytime soon/before long list of other games I am interested in more. For gifts I buy, to create a really nice giveaway for game I count as a high-quality and fun, could be from my wishlist or something I played and enjoyed.
4 - when you win a game or dlc - do you feel like you have to give something back in the form of another giveaway - I would say yes, but I win rarely and to community I am giving enough not to worry much about that. I feel that I need to give back personally to gifter by putting the gift on the top of backlog and playing the game I wanted to win; and also write a short review. It is rather inner feeling to make things right, it doesn't matter if gifter is glad about that or not (they may do giveaway for any reasons in the first place), but in case they care about own effort - they get the proper feedback.
6 - what do you think about people who are just here to win games and never give any back (not even free no CV games now) - Even poorer person who wins a lot can sell cards and buy something to give away. At this point, I don't care much about person's ratio but when person never shares anything at all, and simultaneously can have hundreds of games in library, this is simple greed.
7 - finally how do you decide what your giveaway will be - white-list, group or public - which level, how long etc - As I value my own time, efforts and money, better gifts I am trying to distribute in WL and specific groups where people play games (commit to play). Sometimes I try to give these away in public where more people can get them, with marking that I will restrict winner from my future GA if they just waste the gift. With games less valuable from my point of view I don't specify this. I find it fair enough to demand from oneself more than from others
Some games I collect by theme and create some event with puzzles.
8 - i also wonder how people enter giveaways as i try enter the big 50+ giveaways first and then group and then public till i spent all my points - When I registered, I entered at first my wishlist giveaways, then checked Recommended if there is anything interesting, then sometimes I found promising games among titles I never have seen before. But this has ended with my first wins when I realized that I have to spend much more time checking the quality of games and doing harsh evaluation. Since then I have been hiding games I would not put on top of my backlog so I have about 5-10 games in "All giveaways" page, and part of them I still don't enter if I don't think I am going to play this game right after I win, and I am happy with it. No problem with points ever.

1- I don't know.
2- I was here to dump a bunch of my unused keys so first one is irrelevant i guess.
3- I still am here to dump my unused keys i don't really have any cv or charity motive. But i buy some games to giveaway for some events.
4- Yeah kinda. I don't like my won graphic to be ahead of my given graphic in statics.
5- I have no idea, to me it's just random.
6- That's their choice. This site is advertised as a free game site so i have no complain on that. But if they are winning 500 games and only play CS:GO they are pretty lame.
7- Mostly quality of the game. Deciding hour is, I want to finish the giveaway relatively early. Level is the least likely to reroll. I have found it the best for public 4 and private 2.
Bonus- I rarely enter any giveaway now. I also don't really buy games anymore. I just want to finish what's in my hand. And i am already pretty bad at that. But if i enter that means i will play it in a month period.

  1. Don't know, you should ask a moderator about that. In my opinion it shouldn't, doesn't seem fair.
  2. Spakoyno: Back to the USSR 2.0.
  3. Multiple reasons.
  4. Yes, especially if I win good games.
  5. Some people seem to think that higher level gives you higher chance to win good games, they're wrong. Most of my wins are from group and invite only, none over level 1. If you do giveaways because you expect to win better or more games in return you will be very dissapointed.
  6. I think they should try and give back, especially with the new rule that allow free games. I won't judge though, except if they whine about why they don't win good games.
  7. Occasionally I reserve games I think are good for whitelist or groups like Playing Appreciated, the rest depends. If I'm in a train making mood then I'll make train, if not then public.

Bonus: I enter wishlist giveaways first then group then invite only from Discussions, the rest of the points is for public giveaways of games I find interesting. I don't enter giveaways for games I don't want to play, I just don't see the point.

  1. ???
  2. Retro City Rampage DX, from an humble bundle.
  3. have game or dlc already // because you don't like game's theme (such as i don't like horror games)
  4. No, my ratio is already >1, and I'll need to win bunch of GA to go under it.
  5. No ? i'm not sure to understand
  6. I don't do level 0 anymore except for DLC. Anyone able to register on this site (more than 100$ on Steam) should be able to reach level 1 (1$ on HB for example...)
  7. I do WL GA for games I really liked, and want to transfer the joy to someone else. If I win ion a group, I'll GA something for the groups. All the rest go to public GA (but I put some levels for games on which I spent more)
    B. I browse my wishlist everyday, and if I happen to find games I like in trains in the forum too.

  1. I believe so.
  2. Arma II
  3. Primarily because I enjoy it and often have keys I won't or cannot use.
  4. No, I think I do my part without really thinking about that.
  5. No, RNG is RNG.
  6. I don't mind them at all. No one is forced to make level 0 giveaways.
  7. I try to reserve the nicer games for my groups and white-list. Most of my giveaways are public, though.

Bonus - I don't remember the last time I spent all my points. I usually feel guilty entering giveaways for big point games, so my points usually stay pretty high. I try to stick to my wishlist, unless I see something interesting.

  1. I believe so
  2. Shattered Planet from a Humble Bundle leftover
  3. Mostly bundle extras (already have/don't want/won't run on Linux), sometime because I'm feeling generous. In the past it was for CV but not so much now.
  4. Yes, I don't like my gray bar on my stats page to go past my blue bar (in terms of the date). I feel like I need to have given more recently than received
  5. I don't think that's how chance works
  6. I try not to worry about this
  7. Normally based on the type of game
    • bundle junk - normally public
    • nice bundle games - normally invite-only for the forum
    • nice games that run on Linux - group & WL

bonus - my GA entry rate has slowly declined over the last 6 months or so, to the point where I enter a few a week at most anymore

  1. Not sure
  2. ORION: Prelude
  3. A bit of everything you listed.
  4. Sometimes
  5. No. It's random.
  6. There are more important things than ratio. Playing the games you win, for example, instead of just getting a good game to idle it or because you want +1 game in your account. Doing that is like saying that you don't care about other people's money.
  7. good games - WL. decent games - groups/invite only. bad games - public or trains.

Bonus: Only games I wanna play. I don't see a point in getting them just for a +1. I always have 200+ points

  1. Yeah going have to go with everyone else not sure and don't much care
  2. Husk...yeah idk
  3. To be nice to others and make events or puzzles or stuff. and also to get rid of games I don't want (these usually get tossed to public if I also don't think they are that good)
  4. YES even if I have a really high sent/won ratio winning something makes me feel like I have to gib something as well...
  5. No
  6. Don't much care- +1 +1 +1 for lastM's response
  7. Weeb game- 2hu, game I actually want people to play then an event or certain groups, game I think is really nice/I liked myself WL or group. Something I don't really care much about toss to the garbage bin that is the public GA's...and at that point I know for a fact they won't be played but I don't care cause I wouldn't play them myself.

Bonus...running out of points? what is this madness okay I ran out of points once when puzzle agent 1+2 were in a bundle and I entered all the GA's for it honestly I've hidden 7000+ games and use ESGST to hide everything I've entered so my home page is always empty with the 4-5 things I've entered hidden from view
