There's no satisfaction in circlejerked wins. You always "owe" a person or a group, which is the antithesis of what a gift is and is the anathema of steamgifts. The real spirit of the site is when you're entering giveaways open to the public with thousands of entries. No debts or obligations, no "only these 4 people are worthy but I still get lots of CV for it", just simple purity. :)

It's about 4 years 9 months since I stopped joining giveaways, because I figured that I'm growing my backlog enough without that. But now... well, nothing has changed, except that my backlog is even bigger and I'm playing even less.
